How long do you guys think this site will exist? Do you think that Giant Bomb would shut down altogether if Jeff and a couple other core members like Brad and Drew got to a point in their lives to stop doing this kind of stuff, or do you think that they would try to hire new people to fill in, and have an entirely different lineup of people doing roughly the same thing?

Seriously, this board chronicles some of the craziest things that have happened to me. It actually made me sad looking back over it and seeing how things have changed.

Aw man, I thought it was all fun and games in the life of Karl, but I was wrong :( My life has stayed pretty consistently disappointing so I have no such feelings.

I have returned to happiness. It just goes to show that you should never give up, things will get better.

@karlpilkington: Good to hear. My personal life is pretty shit atm, things went to shit in the worst way with that girl I said would be the one. On the bright side I've been going to the gym for almost a year now and become a buff motherfucker.

While we're talking about our lives, I'm doing alright. I'm a year out from a computer science degree, and have recently made some pretty good friends. Now I just need to get a job over the summer and I'll be set for a while. That's easier said than done though...

Another life wobble! Grrrrr. Hard. :/

Dear giant bomb tour comment section,

It's been a while since I last wrote, but all is well. At some point I watched "an idiot abroad" so I now know what our own Karl is named after and also how to pronounce it, before I thought it was Pilkton for some reason. On a sadder note, the cat that was my profile picture disappeared about 8 months ago so I'll have to change that. Other than that things are steady on my front, I've spent a lot less time playing videogames in the last couple years (except for madden I'm in a league with my brothers and it's a whole thing). At this point I think I spend more time consuming content here and all do here is listen to the Beastcast (what a great podcast BTW) every week.

If I don't write for a while then know that you will always be in my heart, comment section.

So I switched positions at eurofins. No longer working in the lab but in the office as an analytical service manager, its basicallt key account manager combined with product specialist. You seen suits? Im supposed to be some customers harvey specter, their fixer. It's pretty fun, and a bump in pay. I also got my first car like 7 months ago. Audi A4 sline. I enjoy it.

Im also selling my apartment and moving into a house on the country, with my girlfriend of 8 months.

Life is good.

Did you get the A4 hatchback / wagon or the sedan? I'm not a huge fan of Audi but those hatchbacks are gorgeous.

While we're making updates about our lives, I'm about to graduate from uni for computer science, and I'm as equally excited as I am terrified. Anyone need a competent programmer with little field experience for a software developer position? Hopefully I'll be getting myself a new car here pretty soon :D

Finished travelling Europe for three weeks and now I've got a month off before starting in September!
