The only big thing I'm worried about this game is, if they try to make Connor the turning point of all these events in history. Like everything happens because of his doing. I feel like that would just be stretching too far. Can't wait though.

You referring to the Beatles? Because we took care of most of them already.

The shadow of Ringo lingers upon us all.

"the one that mattered"

I understand the point they're going for- it also would be great if they still gave props to the actual- non-parkour, assassin, people who fought.

They've done that in a few ways- the various support options in ACII- but it would be nice to have a little more down to earth in the mix.

Michelle Bachmann, Scott Walker, and the Koch brothers ARE the East India Company. Where's that trailer?

Have faith in Corey May.

Off to have a cuppa! Hail Britannia!

Interesting that they left out the fact that the small group of colonists who actually boarded the ships and threw the tea overboard were dressed up as Mohawk Indians.

every time I see the name Scott Walker, it takes me a moment to realize that people aren't talking about the awesome musician :/

Nothing important happened in 1812. NOTHING.

Definitely not any wars where the White House was set on fire. Nope.

@CannedBread: ...and the British didn't 'rule' America during the War of 1812 so what is your point?

Plucky Canucks!

I am gonna guess that the one that mattered is the face stabbing and parkour revolution.

Posted by Shaanyboi

The REAL revolution was a native american guy garbed in a uniform of a Crusades-era society running around fucking up a conspiracy created by power-hungry figures in the shadows, revolving around cosmic artifacts that were keys to the end of the world as predicted by the Mayan calendar.

HISTORY, MOTHERFUCKERS!

You say that as if making Altair the assassin of all those Middle Eastern figures or Ezio the killer of the Pazzi family wasn't pushing it. The series has always been kind of goofy.

They've already done that. All the people you assassinate in the first games were real people. Ezio was the one who took down the Borgia?

Even worse was that bit in ACII where just like, everyone you'd met who'd helped you comes along like "oh, by the way we are all assassins lol"

It would be nice if just like, a few more of them (I realise Leonardo wasn't an assassin) were just bros.

Scott Walker and the Koch brothers don't represent the modern tea party. Keep spewing liberal propaganda Giantbomb and you'll alienate some of your listeners

Posted by SmilingPig

I'm not sure that this game will be all that popular in the UK.

Edited by wrathofconn

@duke1gears0: Keep using terms like "liberal propaganda" to refer to a throwaway line on a gaming website, and I'll be glad to see you go! People that are so out of touch with reality deserve to be alienated.

Huh?

For real, everything, even an off hand joke, is a "liberal conspiracy" these days.

@RoyaleWifCheese: Well, when your worldview is based entirely on things that aren't facts, that'll happen!

Pretty sure it was the Boston Massacre that started the Revolution, not the Boston Tea Party. Yep.

Posted by gbrading

Wow, generalized, biased historical revisionism! Kudos Ubisoft!

Posted by ipaqi

"[...] I'll tell you about another revolution. The one that mattered."

Nice slap in the face to the actual real people (though far dead and gone) who enabled the US to exist.

Fuckin' Canadians.

Posted by Duxa

Should be amazing!

Posted by Vanlain

@DoubleKR: Not necessarily; neither were a "kickoff" to the war as such. Rather, they were both significant events among many that fueled the fires of revolution. Or maybe it was just a bad line of code in the Animus that triggered it all. Who wants a Piece of Eden? Anyone?

Posted by Dark_Lord_Spam

It's a little weird to dramatically lay out the sacrifice of the many and follow with "but yo fuck all'a dat."
