Ok. I'm officially tired of people bitching about zombies. For the sake of everyone's sanity, I'm putting a moratorium on people bitching about something as awesome as zombies. No one can bitch about any new zombie game/movie/book for ever because zombies are fucking awesome and if you don't like it then don't play it while the rest of us have a hell of a time enjoy our zombies. Look at it this way...what zombie games are on PS3 anyway?  Maybe I missed em cuz I can't think of any except for Dead Rising 2 coming out.  No Left 4 Dead.  I guess Call of Duty but I never played that zombie game mode.

Amen brother! No matter what people say about zombies, I never seem to get sick of dismembering/decapitating them. I read a lot of books about zombies too and for some reason they always seem to draw me in. Shame I don't have a PS3 but I will look forward to getting my grubby paws on Dead Rising 2.

 I still think WaW's Nazi Zombies is the best zombie game for the PS3 so far. Closest thing to L4D you can get on that system. This just looks like that other PS3 overhead zombie game from Konami. (I think that's who made it)

But, they are...I've seen plenty of people make comments about the modern warfare theme being overdone...
 
I'm pretty sure people aren't mentioning every theme/idea/setting which has been rehashed bazillions of times, as that would take a long time to write up, and hey, this is a video about a zombie game...
 
Anyway, no one should be an uninspired-game apologist....be it Jeff Gerstmann, MarkWahlberg, or your grandma's cat (especially your grandma's cat). This goes for any recycled scenario too - zombies, generic medieval fantasy, contemporary combat shooters, inane family-friendly motion control mini-game compilations etc...

Since Alien Swarm uses SDK people are already figuring out how to import Left 4 Dead mods on to Alien Swarm.
 I.E. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwtFuQ_gA1E 
So... you might as well stick with Alien Swarm.

@MildMolasses: I have been feeling this way for a very long time. I just like to whine every now and then...
 
 @MAST: I feel this way about zombies, and not war-torn middle eastern countries, because my exposure to the former in all kinds of entertainment venues is much more than the other, although granted the latter is probably more pervasive.

What's the alternative to zombies?
I remember Zombies Ate My Neighbor and even then most of the
other enemies were just not as fun to shoot or kill as the zombies.
 
I guess it would be really rad if instead of zombies there were Middle-eastern Mutant Ninja Pirates,
that also drive race cars, but no. That's not happening.
