Hate to break it to you, yes this is a tie in to classic literature, no it is not trying to pull a Dante's Inferno. This game has been rumored for a long time and fans of the original Alice game from American McGee have been waiting a long time for this. Sure the original doesn't hold up as well, but it did the dark Alice well for the time it was released. Dante's Inferno was just a bad idea all together...
