if you don't look too closely at the frame grab for this trailer, and don't read the text, you might be forgiven for thinking this had to do with kinectimals (I did this)

Rising gas prices? Really? lol The narration was pretty bad. The actual game seems interesting.

I can kill an endless amount of humans in video games and not care, but it's always tough when it comes to animals. Deadly, adorable animals.

This is the realistic sequel to Kinectimals. Not a lot of people know that.

White guy goes to scary island filled with scary dark skinned people: check

Same white guys will undoubtably become the best thing that's happened to these "oppressed" dark skinned people (see Avatar, The Last Samuari, Dances With Wolves, etc): check

The women of this island are unusally attractive and want to have sex with you for "tribal" reasons, or for "I'm a mysterious foreign woman" reasons: check

Some strange guy will appear after to the white guy after he gets knocked out/drugged and torment him, only to later be revealed as being a fignment of his imagination: most likely

Ancient temples filled with inexplicably elaborate traps and puzzles that open doors and path ways: check (I can forgive this, but I don't want to be stuck underground for more than 20% of this game)

Awful, simply awful, dialogue in the trailer filled with over-used cliches and bullshit "jokes": check(ie "This place is no game." "Listen to me if you want to come back outside of a body bag." "It's waiting to pounce of you faster than rising gasoline prices." (what???) "Welcome to the jungle, sink your teeth in...")

Bow and arrow: check

All that said, Fry Cry 3 looks good... but I get the feeling it will be far from great. Time will tell.

If there are adventure game elements to Far Cry 3, like they hint at here (all the tombs and temples, switches, maps, etc.), I'm suddenly interested. Heck, "First Person Uncharted" sounded immediately more intriguing than any modern military shooter anyway. But really, I would like a big blockbuster to aspire to do a tad more than just "shoot everybody who's different than you". Something smarter. More memorable. With a lot more actions; there are more ways to interact with other characters in games than a) shoot them or b) converse with them in a cutscene. Adding a little bit of Myst to the FPS genre would be great.
