Don't know why, but Drew leaving has put me in a very nostalgic mood. I grew up with this website. In 2008, at 17 years old, this site began right when I was beginning to become the person I am today. It's hard to put into words what the GB guys have meant to me over the years. They've gotten me through some tough times, and they've been there when things were at their best. I can pretty much track every major phase my life from 2008 until now based on what was happening with the Bombcast crew. Anyway, It's nice to go back to the start.

@dtat: It's so crazy that Giant Bomb became this crazy forerunner of how games are covered now by leaving the review/news model and going with video content in a big way before everyone else. But when you listen to old Bombcasts and watch this stuff, it wasn't some kind of calculated risk or shrewd business sense as much as it was just Jeff and Ryan spitballing and going with the flow.

Good times, man. Weird in that the upload date of the video (not even the original, the Giant Bomb mirror) was 5 years before I'd even encountered Giant Bomb in earnest.
