If you told me that Mario and Sonic would star in Olympic themed games when I was a kid I wouldn't have believed you. Not because of the cross over but because a mini game collection of these two icons sounds like a waste. That said my mom works at a school and a bunch of kids are ridiculously excited for this and Sonic Generations.

Seriously, after all these years of being rivals, Nintendo and Sega couldn't come together and make an adventure game featuring the two worlds of mario and sonic somehow clashing together? Eggman and Bowser teams up to take down the two heroes? Eggman double crosses Bowser because he really don't care for Bowser's intentions, he just wants the chaos emeralds Bowser was unaware of that was hidden in his world, or in his castle. Mario and Sonic working together in different scenarios, a race against time to collect the chaos emeralds. As game developers I'm sure they can make it work. Get back Yuji Naka, and grab Miamoto (forgive the spelling errors) and lock them in a room for 10 freak'n days.

Just a hell of a ride for making the ultimate platform adventure ever made. And it's seriously not being considered?

I still don't understand how anybody expects me to believe that Sonic would ever lose to...well, anyone in a race. Where his whole point is running faster than the speed of sound, you'd think he'd automatically win.

There's a good chance the game will be trash, but there's a slight chance it won't be. There's nothing inherently wrong with minigame collections. I'm not interested in playing the game really, I just want to see if they'll clean it up enough to make a decent time waster.

All these Olympics games made by SEGA, and the only thing Nintendo's done is put Sonic in Smash Bros. Come on, Nintendo. Just make a cross-over platformer already. I want good Sonic gameplay for once this decade.

@Ozone: Sadly, for that you'll have to stick to Sonic 2 or 3&K. Which I know aren't this decade. :(

The rower in me is disgusted at how bad they fucked up that sport. They're not even facing the right direction.

They're famous, but they're not Hollywood famous; so they have to punch a lot of people in the face.

Mario and Sonic for President! Or at least that's what the video preview makes it look like. Although, I would be more up for a presidental campaign simulator staring Mario and Sonic than this Olympics garbage.
