Monster Hunter 4's Finally Escaping Japan

It may be at least another year out, but the prospect of finally being able to try the multiplayer in MH (I have MH3U for the 3ds, for reference) is getting me all excited. That and the freaking cat companion. Okay, I'm probably more jazzed about the cat. The wait won't be too bad considering that I haven't actually beaten MH3U yet.

Big announcement, we're graciously allowing you westerners to purchase and play our cool monster game, you're welcome.

Seriously though, I've been considering picking up MH3 for the 3DS for a while so maybe this is a sign.

So is Monster Hunter a Nintendo exclusive affair?

I'm not really interested in picking up a 3DS but if there would be a Monster Hunter on PS4 I would definitely check it out.
