You get a bunch of backstory stuff from collectibles so if you don't appreciate that then I guess it is padding.

Kinda have to agree with that. The riddles themselves expand the backstory, and is also needed to finally take out the riddler. I believe you need to complete about 400 of the challenges (trophies, riddles, etc.) just to finish the side quest. But to each his own. :)

@Meatsim: Batman has a million gadgets in this game, including explosives and a taser gun. He's gadget-intensive.

If they charge for this, I call shenanigans ... launch/near-launch paid DLC is such a fucking insult. Stop lying, man-up and charge $75 for new releases with the DLC included.

can you take Nightwing for a stroll in Arkham City when the campaign is over ? or just in Riddler's Challenges ?

Ya between that and your other comment about Riddler collectibles not being more content, I'm going to take it that you're not a big Batman fan and only like the main plot in games. Here's my take on this tho Dick Grayson/Nightwing is freaking amazing so getting the chance to play as him even if it's only in the challenges at this time is will be epic, plus the collectibles are loads of fun to collect, plus you get trophies and art and achievements, and back story, and some other cool stuff, so it's freaking amazing in my opinion.

Will this DLC fit into the singleplayer some how or is it just challenge room stuff?

I kind of wish there was any amount of story to go along with this. A new playable character is rad, but it's a little less rad when all you can do with him is play one-off challenge maps.

yep. Batman's costumes can be used in in both free roam once you beat the game AND in new game plus mode if i'm not mistaken

I'm just going to wait for next year when they release the game again but with all the DLC added like they did with AA. There are still so many games I want to play that sadly, Batman is going to the wayside.

two different people. Nightwing is Dick Grayson, the original Robin, the Robin in the game is Tim Drake who was the 3rd Robin

His special ability will be to die and invalidate Batman as a playable character while he goes through the grieving process.

I loved Arkham City, but campaign access with new characters would be the main seller on getting me into the DLC.

One of the challenge maps is a combat challenge on top of a building. You can't jump off the building.

i didn't expect the fightin style to be so different, good job rocksteady.

Now if you could play night wing and robin in an actual story mode or mini campaign (like catwoman) it will be super cool.

Now they need to make additional story missions for the campaign, like what they are doing for Gears 3

Huge fan of Nightwing, so I'm happy to see Rocksteady was faithful. He looks spot on to me, from his outfit to his hair.

Shame there's no voice work...but I'm still in for the Nightwing DLC pack.
