Nintendo's Not Holding Another E3 Press Conference, But...

I love Reggie he is always willing do dumb crap like this, i wish the nintendo direct videos were as good as this. I feel like if their hardware was better they could do awesome crap like this all the time. Reggie always seems like he makes time to personaly invest in his product. But again, i just wish the product was better.

None of this inspire confidence. It okay to have fun, but you need to have the real plans behind that so that they fun doesn't just seem to making confusion and a lack of vision.

The video was really good, but if Nintendo aren't holding a conference I'm frankly not interested. Their refusal to participate in the current console showdown is their ultimate undoing.

They're not skipping E3. They're going. They're just not hosting a stage show.

Surprised that so many found this funny. Felt pretty cringe-worthy the whole way through to me. Mega64 seems like a weird hold over from an internet left behind... like back when people watched Red Vs Blue and/or cared about what Rooster Teeth was doing.

Also, skipping E3 again seems like a bad move for Nintendo.

Man this is so great and self-aware... I can't even imagine the whole PLAY THE GAME having ever happened after watching this.

Also, Smash Bros! I'll probably be watching all of that instead of E3.

I don't know why Nintendo is doing this but they have a shareholder meeting in 2 months and if the WII U is still falling short on catching up with the PS4, then it's bye-bye to President Iwata. I know this is serious, but they better show up at E3 or I'm not buying another Nintendo console anymore

This was kinda dumb, but at least something was put into it. Hopefully Nintendo does have a good E3.

Stuff like this makes me excited for Nintendo, like they still have a lot of fight left in them and are at least trying to connect with their audience in relevant ways in the face of such an insane amount of pressure and competition in the market right now.

I don't know what the future has in store for Nintendo but I hope they keep jumping head first into blazes of glory like this with whatever they end up doing and wherever they land in the industry.

I could never get into mega 64. I like the premise and ideas but i never find the execution that great.

When Nintendo exits the home console business in < 2 years, people are probably going to wish they took the energy they wasted putting together stuff like this stupid video and put it towards making an effort to get their console to become more appealing to the masses again.

Reggie jokes in 2014 are like making Snakes on a Plane jokes in 2014.

Press conferences are so staged, I'm glad they're going for a more casual approach. I like Reggie even though he does come across like a Robot sometimes.

We all had to back in those dark days of either not having a cell phone, or if you did, you couldn't easily hit a button to show you the time. The screens were so small. They were so small!

What the shit, that was great and informative.

Interestingly, I always figured Reggie was a corporate robot ready to kill at a moment's notice. An inhuman salesman trying to blend into his surroundings while revealing cracks in the facade now and then.

That was much better than I expected a Mega64 video to be.
