I like that some aspects of Chromehounds seem to be going into AC now, but I still don't like where it is at in the anime crazy spectrum, I prefer either slower "realistic" style like Mechwarrior and Chromehounds, or full on crazy go nuts like ZoE.

If you're going to have someone do commentary over your professionally published promotional video, it'd probably be a good idea if he didn't stutter. A couple of takes really wouldn't be that hard.

@envane: I hear ya. I just hope that there's no Kojima in 4 equivalent and that there is more of a reason to specialize in a certain weight class. I'm tired of there being no real need to go light or heave when a generic mid can just take you out with minimal effort because you speed or def/AP means nothing to some broken weapon.

I spent like 4 hours on an emblem using AC1's pre-msPaint interface. I love that I'll be able to make that easier and be able to show that off in the arena.

Love the idea of Mech games, just don't like the slow pace. Can't wait for the HD remaster of Z.O.E. 2, man, that game was hella fun. I'd kill for a sequel...

Last AC game I played was AC2... this has changed so much, and yet remained the same. It looks cool.

I guess you never played an Armored Core game.. because i'm pretty sure there will be dozens of different shotguns and machine guns. At least if they plan on making this an good AC game in the veins of the awesome original ones.

its not that apparent int his video , except when theyre shooting tanks and smaller stuff, but the size/scale of AC's have been dramaticly reduced , which actually leads to better interaction with the enviroment and combat with non ac enemies , with tanks being the size of your foot in previous ac's there was no real strategy needed for dealing with anything that wasnt your size or bigger , they have done the huge boss thing before but it looks like theyll be more dynamic and hopefull less framerate destroying than ac4a etc .

and yeah the ridiculous size of the weapons now is actually a bit less over the top, though the grind blade looks a bit insane.

the #1 benefit from the size change is that they can hopefully balance mech speeds more "fairly" as being smaller all round will give less dramatic spikes in speed/manueveraility over armor/weaponry etc , this is a pretty esoteric point that only seasoned pvpers will possibly understand, but the tradeoff for speed/weight will be less extreme .. or should be hehe ..anyway looking forward to this game obviously :D

@UltimAXE: Yeah, you need to have your fingers on all four shoulder buttons to play it optimally. It takes a while to get used to if you're not accustomed to it.

What's up with all these mech games coming out this year? Not that I'm complaining it just seems like we haven't had any in years then we get a whole bunch at the same time (like buses).

I've been a huge Armored Core fan ever since the very first game and have played AC1-AC3 and all of their expansions. Mainly skipped over AC4 because I couldn't get used to the controls. I hear that AC5 is supposed to be a pretty big change like AC4 was.  I'm thinking that it might be time to get back into the series.

With the seeming resurgence of mech-games, I hope at least one of them is really good. I miss lumbering around a battlefield in a giant mechanized humanoid killing machine.

I really don't like the aesthetics of the current gen ac games at all and game design wise they still seem stuck in the ps1 era.
