I'ma play this!

I dunno, all this new stuff looks cool, but without any new story/narrative hooks I don't see the point. I understand that story isn't the main thing in XCOM, but if I have to start a new game or roll back a save to see this new stuff, then I don't see the value in playing the same missions just with new weapons/abilities, especially for $30.

I wonder if the sequel will be based on Terror from the Deep.

Alright then

Gaaaah! I can't believe it's coming out this year! I can't wait to play it!

SOLD

Didn't even watch the trailer. Saw the Firaxis name at the beginning, stopped it, and know I will instantly buy this.

@tearhead: You have clearly not adopted the appropriate Xcom mindset. You should ALREADY have played through Enemy Unknown over a dozen times and be excited about 40 new maps! =D

Posted by Travan

@tearhead: Did you watch the trailer? They pretty heavily teased a new enemy force, what with the ominous logo and talk of 'enemy agents'. Unless the ex-tees spontaneously acquired human aesthetics, we're looking at collaborators/ cat's paws. The Cerberus to XCOM's Spectres. An enemy within, if you will.

I really hope they build upon the game instead of just rehashing the same thing again.

Well that teaser kind of blows, but I can think of a lot of things I'd like less than more content for my favorite game last year.

i don't want to play the same game again.. this isn't civ!

i want new content, not the same game with more guns :P

Holy shit, it's orange now!

I can't wait to unreasonably rage at my soldiers missing 75% chances to hit because my monkey brain cannot comprehend probability all over again!

Very interesting.

OH YES ! YES !

Human on human violence. When will it end? So stoked for more XCOM.

It makes me sad that Ryan Davis will not get to experience this.

Yeah, now I'm just confused. All the written coverage of this game seems to imply it's just a new soldier class, a new genetic resource thing to slightly tweak soldiers, and new maps and stuff, but this teaser really seems like it at least suggests a new mini-campaign like with the weird "Slingshot" DLC.
