Very cool. Especially at the end, I like the idea of your lazer only shooting to the beat.

Hmm. From the trailer, I got excited about exploring the mechanics of having to switch between the circle-triangle-square, similar to something like element4l. Seeing that it's not part of the game and rather just an aesthetic thing is a bummer.

The dynamically changing levels thing is a cool idea, but really most platformers do this, they're just not synced to the music. Damn! Way less interested now. :/

I feel stupid now for thinking this was going to be a quick look for a game called "Solo: 140"

The game saves after you complete a level. It is indicated by which keys are accessible in the hub level.

I beat this game last week. It's a ton of fun. It gets really tricky as you go. I actually found myself counting beats to get the platforming right. It's awesome.

Huge fan of rhythm based games and glad to see another one roll around. I don't mind the simplified graphics, it's quite cool in this title particularly but it's becoming a little too common of an occurrence in the genera for me.

This game is seriously great. The one the visuals and music and platforming all fits together feels super cohesive and satisfying.

Could it be that the avatar is changing shapes based on the symbols on a music player?

Square is stop, triangle is play (jump is probably the most playful of the motions) and round is record which is happening as you move forward and cross checkpoints?

This honestly looks boring to me. I'm okay with the simple aesthetic, but there are a lot of games now that have that look and this doesn't seem to do anything particularly unique or interesting.

The transitions when you go to the next level are seriously awesome. I could listen to those over and over.

I'm always impressed by the mechanics of games locked into the tempo of a music track. I've tried it myself but was a real pain. This seems like a good proof of concept, though would like to see them flesh it out a bit more with graphics perhaps tied to a subtle narrative just to make it more original/interesting from an aesthetic point of view. Maybe next time around?

Anyway this looks...alright, it reminded me briefly of Sound Shapes. Not sure if I would play it, the platforming bit looks a touch too simple for me, but I do enjoy rhythm games.

Thanks for pointing this out. Went and bought it after watching this; it only took me an hour or so to finish, but I enjoyed it. I love rhythm elements in games, and it manages to be a cohesive piece of this experience, not just an ancillary element.

The last boss is a mindfuck, lemme just say that though.
