So long as we're talking about film that people love but is actually fucking awful, lets get out shoutout to Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. That movie is garbage. Terrible acting, poorly written, no character development (and every character is 1-dimensional), random violence for no good reason, the tone is all over the place. It's trying to be a dark drama and a slapstick comedy, and fails on both fronts. It's already won 80+ awards and has 7 Oscar nominations, which is insane.

Question:

I watched some ice hockey at the Olympics and when it was time for overtime I found out to my dismay that ice hockey still uses a golden goal rule.

What's up with that, Mr. Bakalar?! Even football with its continued hesitance to use goal line technology dropped the awful golden goal rule years ago!

Only problem with Westworld was all those fan theories. So many of them that a lot of them came true and the surprise reveals were lost. Shame.

Westworld hinges itself upon a twist and I think the pacing and structure of how they splice together the character perspectives suffers immensely as a result. Jonah Nolan doesn't direct multiple timelines as well as his brother does. The show peaked with the first episode and steadily declined from there as characters who were interesting at first are given very little to do except monologue or listen to monologues. The action really just isn't that good aside from the very first saloon robbery.

I hope S2 is better since it doesn't have to hide any timeline shenanigans.
