So it's Tekken Tag Tourney mixed with Capcom vs SNK mixed with DarkStalkers....count me in. Plus no focus attacks!!

I almost hate to say this but if it's a Capcom fighting game it's a day one purchase for me...and there are no other games I buy at full price to tell the truth...until MGS: Rising and Arkham City come out.  Capcom had me indoctrinated at an early age.  They're in the bloodstream.

Okay, I'm done with Capcom fighting games. This is just too much Street Fighter. I've had my fill, I want no more, and, quite frankly, I'm none too keen on Tekken coming back. 


 Even "quality" dilution of a series is still dilution. I'm not saying that's what this is, but it certainly looks like the second/third step to it.

Besides that, even if I had any interest, the tagging in and out and all the ex-super-ultra moves just look bad here.

I'm actually really interested in seeing what the Tekken team does with the Street Fighter dudes art-wise. I definitely love how Street Fighter has been looking over the past few years, but I would love to see what the Street Fighter cast looks with the more realistic art style that Tekken brings.

Also I'm super curious as to what they are going to do control-wise since that seems like it wold be an issue, unless they just make them six button, but that just wouldn't be fitting for a Tekken game right?

Either way, I think both sides are going to be happy and I will still suck at fighting games. Then again all I have been playing are Capcom ones....Hmmm is Namco beckoning me?

I bet the Tekken one will use four buttons. It's not impossible to move Street Fighter down to 4 at all, just remove medium; it'll change balancing, sure, but the characters will still be playable.

Isn't Tekken a 3D fighter like SoulCalibur? I've played it once or twice, and I just can't remember...I'm totally curious how you'll execute moves normally assigned to quarter-circle in a Tekken game.

@Little_Socrates: Yeah I'm pretty sure there is a side stepping mechanic. After playing so many Street Fighter games, the changes Tekken X Street Fighter brings to the characters I know and love just seem so interesting to me, plus I can totally play a Tekken (last one I played was TTT, shit that PS2 was sexy) game at the same time.

Are there any Tekken fans out there that feel the same way about the Street Fighter version, or are those guys just going to play more Tekken just like SF guys are going to play more SF?

I hope these games are making people question their fighting game sexuality.

wow, I wonder what tech they're using? graphics sort of look like sf4 but the speed and joggling looks more like marvel vs capcom. I can't believe they're actually making this.

They had to redo the character modules of all the SF chars to fit with the Tekken  style and look. When it comes to buttons its 4 pluss the triggers. R1 are both punches and so on so as another user mentioned they will probably just remove Medium alltogether. Not to be rude to SF or anything either but Tekken is more acesible then SF, the training modes in the SF games never really learned me how to play the game so i suck at SF but i like watching it.

The Tekken team is doing a Tekken X Street Fighter as well, which will be more along the lines of a Tekken game.

It's a Tekken thing. At least they took it out for Abel's command throw.

Who wants to bet the Namco game sucks compared to this? Tekken 6 was terrible! Music is great.
