so much crazy

whao whoa whoa....12.286 BILLION damage? what madness is this?

Posted by Fripplebubby

Looks, interesting, in the sense of the word.

Posted by AltonBrown

Gyakuten! Ippatsuman is a spin-off of Time Bokan, an anime from the seventies.

Looks good but really disappointing that its only on the Wii.  The Wii's online community sucks way too much for a cool fighter like this to be exclusive!

What is going on?!
Posted by Olivaw

I love how it counts damage in the BILLIONS.

That's the sort of touch I'd put in MY fighting game.

what

Posted by DrRandle

Did I see "18 Billion" damage? o.o;

Also: Mega Man's final move should have been The Shinning Laser. Best weapon in that game.

Posted by Brazzle

Man, what they really ought to be doing is making another mega man legends game.

Posted by Sil3n7

The damage counter is clearly insane

Posted by AURON570

I feel it could it could be a bit smoother in places.

Posted by George_Hukas

Love it.. I'm surprised Capcom didn't stick Wesker in this game, too

Posted by JJOR64

I love it that the damage goes by the "BILLIONS."  That is awesome.

Posted by Vrock

Imagine this played by waving wiimote. Ehhhhh.....

Yay Alex!

billion damage FTW

Looks...interesting.

This was an arcade game. That means no waggle controls.
Posted by Spiritof

I'll never understand why this game is on the Wii only.

Posted by super2j

I gotta say that im just glad this was not dc vs capcom. But honestly, i will probably pick the tatsunoko characters as a joke, and maybe will like them.

Posted by Synthballs

Put it on the damn 360!

Or, better have GCN Controller control

Posted by Shadow

Why can't it be Toei vs Capcom?

Posted by ThomasP

I've been waiting a long time for this game.

Agreed! Thats fucking hilarious hahaha.

@JeffGoldblum: Unless you hold the wiimote upright like an arcade joystick! No one is allowed to think that is a good idea.

What's a Tatsunoko...

The arcade hardware was actually based off of the Wii's.

Already been done.  Yeah.

Metal Slug Anthology had some crazy control schemes.

Calling bullshit on this one. Even a tap from that dude's pointy staff would have turned Mega Man into an expanding ring of energy balls.

Posted by Zaapp1

I rather enjoy that damage is measured in billions...

Posted by GigaKill

Lol, 15 billion damage.

Posted by Gamer_152

I rather like the effort that they've gone to to make this game seem just plain crazy.

Lol @ 12 billion damage. So pointless...

The more obscure the character the better the fighter they are.

Posted by Milpool

looks like shit, framerate sucks

Posted by Supermarius
@Milpool: you cant really tell that from a flash video. Fighting games dont capture very well because there is so much action onscreen. The same thing happened with street fighter 4. Alot of videos made sf4's framerate look messed up, but that was actually becasue the smooth framerate was too much for the standard video quality to keep up with. Of course, it could actually be bad, but its hard to tell.

I actually think it looks quite good. Presumed it´s an Arcade and PSN game.

Edit - Wii only? Now thats weird.

Megaman sounds surprisingly similar to Link....hmmmmmm

Posted by Roundtree_X

Damn, My brother.....you lost by just, what? One or two hits? You should have had Zero backing you up. Oh thats right, he's in the US ver....I'll have him back you up for the rematch.
Posted by nukesniper

All that matters in this entire video is the existence of SERVBOT!!! Even if it is just a background...

Posted by President_Evil

The only significant thing about this game (as far as I'm concerned) is Capcom's affirmation that Megaman Legends does in fact, exist.

They saved him for Lost Planet 2.

Frame-rate is perfect in the Japanese original version and i don't see why it would not be the case here. It is the video format and forced frame-rate that is making it look odd.

Really looking forward to take the game online.

ediy: Oh my the quality of this video is quite rubbish...

Glad they got rid of (i do hope it remains an option) the music changing when you switch a character. It was not a game breaking thing but I found it to be a bit annoying.

Posted by JackSukeru

I'm warming up to this, if only for the fact that you can play as both Megaman and Casshern. Wait, is Viewtiful Joe still in it?

Yep

And Mega Man Zero.

Simply put, it's a straight conversion of the arcade machine, which runs on Wii based hardware.

It's the same experience as all of those NAOMI games (Virtua Tennis and so on) which either stayed only on Dreamcast or took an age to reach other platforms.
Posted by Scrawnto

Man, I'd play this game just for the sheer madness. Crazy combos and billions of damage is the business.

Edited by ahoodedfigure

Ippatsuman is mildly suggestive of the theme of Battle of the Planets/G Force
