The announcement is exciting since I never played Majora's Mask.

...but that trailer is weird as all hell. It's like David Lynch's Zelda.

I cant wait for this! As much as I loved Ocarina there is just something about Majoras Mask it means allot more to me

I'm in a weird position where I like this game but I have no idea if I'll buy the 3DS version. I just replayed it on the N64 for the first time since 2001, and my opinion has stayed the same - it's very interesting, the Zelda sections are bad (dungeons, bosses) so it fits in the middle of the series for me. Definitely not the best but nowhere near the worst.

If all it is is a touch up of the visuals and UI like Ocarina of Time 3D then that's boring. There's so much more that can be done to fix this very flawed experience.

I played through Majoras Mask when it first came out on the N64. I don't remember anything about it.

I have to agree this is still my favorite console Zelda game. I love the side quests and the villagers story arcs.

Ocarina is the best Zelda game released (of those that I've played, most). I haven't played more of majora's more than like 20 min so I'll give this one its fair shot at least.

Majora is absolutely my favourite Zelda game (I haven't played all of them, though) and I'll back it in a fight for best Zelda, but I'm anticipating updating some of my thoughts when I replay it here for the first time in, what, 14 years? Now the question is do I hold off on a New 3DS until the Majora edition is released?

I really dug the whole Mayan Apocalypse thing because this was released when the timer ticked to zero.

Yes, I've bought it before. Yes, it's in the garage next to my N64 in storage. Yes, I've played it to the point of being able to do a blind fold run. Yes, the water temple is total bullshit. Yes, they're trying to sell me on my childhood. And yes, I want this for reasons that are neither rational or financially responsible.

Majora's Mask just kicks ass. Too bad the sequel sucked.

One thing I agree with Patrick about, Majora's Mask is the best Legend of Zelda game hands down. It's got amazing mood and atmosphere, packed with content and interesting side quests, and actually has a fairly interesting story for a Zelda game. It's incredibly dark and sometimes really depressing, I wish Nintendo would go back to this sort of universe for their next Zelda game.

I was thinking recently how I wish there was a 3DS version for Majora's Mask as I really liked Ocarina of Time 3DS with it's subtle changes although I can't think of what MM would change other than the ability to create a hard save.

I've never played much of any Zelda game, but if I did I think I'd probably like Majora's Mask the most.

I'm pretty sure that was a joke based on Patrick's recent article on the upcoming PC version of Valkyria Chronicles.

Also this is excellent news. I can't wait to play the new version.
