GB is best for editorials and gameplay videos in the form of quicklooks post release, but you need to check somewhere like Gametrailers for all the newest footage/trailers. Well, I say 'need'. Every time I open a vid on Gametrailers I die a little inside, but any vid that gets released usually goes there first.

As much as they're pushing editorial content, GT is basically a giant PR machine for publishers. A damned good one at that but little more than advertising.

Having recently finished Max Payne and currently halfway through 2, that string chord sent a chill down my spine. Can't wait for this!

I remember back when I first discovered I could listen through the menu music in Max Payne 2, and then found out it was written by a member of Apocalyptica.

They were all dead. The final gunshot was an exclamation mark to everything that had led to this point. I released my finger from the trigger. And then it was over. To make any kind of sense of it, I need to go back three years. Back to the night the pain started.

That wasn't a bad trailer, but it wasn't great either. Luckily everything else i've seen has me pumped for this game.

OK. Looks decent. I'm starting to be aware of something that I know is manifestly error, but it rings true in one particular way..PPl. who make video games may be closest to those who should make movies about them. Well, at least CGI.They seem to know the character, they seem to know the story... hell, Max even packs his own music.

That was yanking at the heartstrings.

I'm playing through Max Payne 1 again and that theme got me even more hyped for this game, going to be amazing

That would be great. 'Late Goodbye' made the credits in Max Payne 2 such a great moment.

the original games were made years ago though, I feel the transition to this hyper mosaic style is awesome

Finished Max Payne 1 last week, and straight away downloaded Max Payne 2. Am on the construction site at the moment playing as Mona. Great game, and the theme tune in this trailer has me psyched. Bring on Friday!

Max Payne 2 remains a completely awesome game that is still completely playable to this day. Now that I think about it, it's still probably in my top 3 singleplayer FPS games, because it's still fun to play every single time. Everything you do is so slick, and the guns handle just the way I want them to.

I just don't get it at all. It's a game about a character who mostly shoots people, and in this game you can go slow-motion.

Can they really hang a whole game on the fact that you can go slow-motion when that's already a pretty played-out concept? His name is "Maximum pain", why would they even bring this back, and why does anyone care besides the fact that they remember the other ones?

There's a part in MP2 where Mona has to jump down a hole to proceed. If you wait a while she says, "Sometimes in order to get up in the world, a girl's gotta go down." Fond memories.

As opposed to the whole "I shoot people because war with aliens/Russians" shtick we're putting up with since 2005?

And yes, they can. Max Payne 3's gameplay and presentation, from what we've seen so far, allow for actual Matrix-like gun battles. Something that wasn't possible ten years ago, because the technology wasn't there. Check out the videos they've put out, the animations are great and actually factor into the gameplay.

The only reason you're looking at the story from that perspective is because you can perform the actual shooting of mob guys. The game is essentially a playable Michael Mann movie.

As much as I want to play this, I need to go through the first two that have been sitting on my hard drive for like 2 years.
