As someone who played 5 mins of saints row and binned it off, ignored SR2 and then tried to ignore SR3 until the cacophony became too much, jumped on and wondered WHAT THE FUCK HAVE I BEEN DOING IN MY LIFE THAT WAS MORE IMPORTANT THAN BEATING SOMEONE WITH A DILDO NAKED EXCEPT FOR SUNGLASSES?!?!......I heartily approve of this trailer

I was just a bit surprised that with Quick Silver funding it now they didn't revise their development plan into more of a real sequel instead of it looking a lot like they just decided to rename Enter the Dominatrix to Saints Row IV, they were probably too far in to change course. Not to say this will be a bad game, hopefully a focus on new content and not tech will result in some really great mission design.

@cybexx: Well Volition was working on it for a little over a year before THQ went into the toilet. Believe it or not Saints Row the Third came out in 2011. It feels like it just came out a few months ago because I still play it every now and then. I can't wait for Saints Rw...I mean Saints Row IV!

FYI, the hotdog suit's been in it since the very beginning (and was first available to wear in SR2), they just skipped over it for SRTT for whatever reason. In fact I think they may have even released it amongst the many costume DLC packs.

They probably made the "Dominatrix" expansion into a direct sequel so Volition would be in active late stage development on a "Hot IP" ensuring their acquisition in the THQ buy out. In other words, Volition is making this Saints Row 4 in order to make a Saints Row 5.

I'll judge it when I play it, but I hope this does well for them.

Huh. I'm all excited and everything, but that video just seems like it's cut for DLC rather than a full-fledged sequel. Hopefully Volition had the time (and money!) to make a game out of it.
