At least we know what the mailbag propaganda is now.

I never even heard about this game...why should I be interested?

Posted by Jeffk38uk

Feels a little like Turning Point in exact same setup, but replace Nazi's with Koreans. Still, the concept sounds good and how everything happens sort of makes sense, will have to see some actual gameplay tho.

are you kidding me?

Oh... Topical.

So smarty guys, where exactly is China in all this?

Posted by Nonentity

I hope Kaos does well on this game. I really want to love this game.

Ok, the stuff they filmed themselves looks really corny. And I don't believe that story for a second.

THE ONLY GOOD BUG IS A DEAD BUG... wait what

Looks... I don't even know what this is.

This game might be good.  There is some gameplay video out there, it looks competent at the very least.  We shall see.

Do you say that about every game you see for the first time?

oh my good!
Its all news report like, that means it happened!

This seems somewhat desperate to me. I mean it'll be interesting to see the game and all, but somehow, i feel that this focus on "real" politics is gonna have some sort of nasty repercussion later on..i don't know

Seems very "hoora" for the Americans.

Korea? Really?

This is silly.

Ahhh, back to Communists. That clip needed some Top Gun music to make it more authentic. Nothing is more authentic to Communists as the bad guys than an 80's montage.

Posted by Williamdeb

That is kind of frightening.

Uh, using the death of South Korean sailors that literally just happened, to advertise your shitty US propaganda game is perhaps a bit close to the knuckle.  Can you imagine if they used the death of US troops in such a manner?

Also, the storyline behind this appears to be absolutely fucking batshit insane.

Dumb. So how exactly did 12 million starving North Koreans take over South Korea AND Japan, all while Russia and China just sit there twiddling their thumbs. And I'm sure the rest of nuclear armed NATO is just relaxing as well. At least the Russian invasion in MW2 made a bit more sense.

this is a warning... from the future

Crisis 2, Far Out!!!!

 NO?

Looks very interesting. Only interesting because it's just so unrealistic. But was fun "review" of how an empire was brought down lol

This game was announced last E3, all I remember about it is that it was being written be the guy who wrote Red Dawn.

Posted by Myomoto

Wow, is this the 80's?

Posted by Ravenousrattler

so its not freedom fighters 2, thats a shame. Lol, korean troops control san fransico

More like replacing Japan with Korea (Think about the borders of Japan in 1942).  And no, nothing in there makes sense.  The idea that North Korea could annex not just South Korea, but also all of Japan and SE Asia without any response from any global or local powers is one of the must unprobable scenarios out there.

This plot sounds way to fantastical for my tastes. There is no way one of the poorest and most hated countrys in the world could some how conquer three of the richest countrys in the world.

Enough with the politics. im more interested in the fact that this is the exact game David Jaffe was talking about making way back for the PSP. only it was called Heartland. does any buddy remeber that?

Yeah, I was just thinking that, though I couldn't remember what the name of his game was.  That makes me wonder at the ability of this game actually getting released.

poor Korea

Posted by Delta_Ass

Ripped from the headlines, you might say.

Posted by giyanks22

What.....That's so farfetched. North Korea is on the brink of economic collapse. The people are starving and they could never "conquer the US" with their current world status...wtf.

Posted by DiGiTaL_SiN

Why does every communist invasion target San Francisco?

Posted by StevieQ

I think it looks awesome. Not the first game I've had to suspend my disbelief for.

Posted by Milkman

How topical.

Dude, that trailer was crazy.

Is this also the new GoldenEye game we've been hearing about? Seeing as the satellite was stolen again in all...

Seems like one of those titles where I'd rather see gameplay.

You tell that to them when they're invading your backyard.

To say I am looking foreword to this is an understatement. I do however really wish another Freedom Fighters was made.

Posted by Joeybagad0nutz

The Idea of this games sounds awesome!!!!!!!!! The story Idk about that. But, Civilians fighting the military is an amazing idea.

I dont know man but  Listening to Jaffe talk about the idea in interviews back in the day he made it sound really powerful and cool. He wanted to make it more then just shock value of the US getting invaded.  well here is a interview with him talking about it

I wish this was a strategy game and not a FPS, but I'm looking forward to this regardless

Posted by Brodehouse

It's funny.  The same premise that I find interesting in a video game, I find absolutely retarded in a film.  This is Red Dawn 2 Korean Boogaloo, and yet I'd actually be interested in playing this if it's any good.  More than I can say about watching Red Dawn again.

Although if they made a Red Dawn game, I would play it.  Two player co-op, where one guy is Patrick Swayze and the other guy is Charlie Sheen.  C. Thomas Howell provides radio support.  Lea Thompson mans a heavy MG in one mission.

Christ, that sounds awesome.
