I never was really interested in the first Metro game. This one isn't peaking my interest either.

So excited for this. If I had panties, they'd be moist now.

Looks like it will keep some of the atmosphere of the first game, which was the primary reason Metro 2033 was so well liked. I still can't really get over the fact that, in a post apocalyptic russian society, people would still find the time to resurrect a dead political system and create Nazi-esque uniforms.

Also: The C Symbol just makes me feel like we're attending a rally of very enthusiastic copyright lawyers.

They just need to make Metro games a more RPG focused game before i'd be interested in it at this point.

Metro 2033 was great, this one is looking even better!

Don't know if you've ever pushed through a crowd at a rally before- those are the most politest nazi's I ever did see!

I dont think the STALKER series fleshed out their environments quite like Metro does. So if we're talking STALKER with METRO's level of detail then, yeah, that'd be good. STALKER makes for an empty world for a few scavengers METRO makes for a striving world of small communities forced to survive in the subway systems.

@Sin4profit: I suppose yeah, but I don't think that kind of game will every really happen. A game the size of any of the Stalkers with the detail of Metro would be one hell of the development cycle. But man it would be incredible.

@AlexW00d: Dunno, with the nature of Metro's fiction i'd imagine you could instance one subway tunnel to another, Block off entry to surface areas and unblock those surface area barricades when it's appropriate for the story. Then you're just on a funneled surface area map just like in Metro 2033.

Really all they need is better iterations with, and/or between, the different communities that live throughout the tunnel system. So it feels like you're more a part of that world then just site seeing as you pass by, i think.

Use "an" instead of "a" when the next word starts with a vowel. It even rolls off your tongue easier saying, "an underground.." instead of "a underground".

@Agent47: RPG "focused" is a poor term on my part. When i think of it i think of the prison sequence in the original Chronicles of Riddick. Just various side missions to make the confined community spaces a little more meaningful and alive. As is it isn't much more involved then a cart ride with animatronic characters...it's sight seeing and not so much interactivity.

This game looks freaking gorgeous.

The "soft" looks makes it looks like CGI. Impressive.

somehow I'm really intrigued ...but I still wanna play the first game before this comes out (yea, Vinny is not alone in his "if it's a sequel I must play the earlier games before I can play it"-mania :D)

this is more like an opening sequence or a jumping off point, not a demo

Love how all the dudes strike the same pose at the same time when the guy fires the shot into the air. Comical. I was actually interested in this game after the first trailer, now, not so much.

@Agent47: I could have given it to you guys, but then I wouldn't have finished the "first" quest.

Despite the obvious shooting problems, I really enjoyed the first.  Looking forward to this one. 

Seems really atmospheric, I'm digging it.
