The Witcher: Battle Arena Is Another Witcher Spin-Off

I also like that a 30 second trip to there website and the first paragraph I'm greeted with is.

"The Witcher Battle Arena is a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game in which players take control of iconic and powerful characters from the Witcher universe."

i love the witcher, but fuck that lol

whatever tho, i don't have to play it and it's not hurting me or the real witcher games.

Based on the end of the trailer, iOS, Android, and Windows Phone

Edit: The beta is android only apparently. Likely because of their lax sideloading rules.

Basic fact-checking ... like a 30 second visit to their website ... would show that this is not a moba.

This looks balls. I love The Witcher, I freak'n love it... but this doesn't look like its either for me OR MOBA fans.

It's a smart idea, getting the massive MOBA community to pay attention to The Witcher - if only for the massive player base - but they aren't leaving LoL or Dota2 for this.

I think I'm the only one excited to play as The Operator. Fuck that guy.

Oh . . . oh lawdy!! It looks so generic and bad. Sluggishness, muddy, trite, and simply poor are the words that come time mind looking at this.

It just seems so silly with all these MOBAs I agree. It's not a genre like third-person shooter that can kind of be anything, MOBAs have VERY strict rule sets (almost like a sport) so there's not very much of a reason why there should be a lot of them...DOTA and league kind of have it covered. There's a reason why there's only the NFL, Arena league football, and basically nothing else in America when it comes to football.

You can't blame CD Projekt RED for trying everything they can to get this franchise mainstream attention.

...Okay, maybe a little.

I was fine with Witcher the card/board game but also making a MOBA is one step to far for me. At this rate it seems like they are trying to expand the Witcher brand a bit to fast.
