That doesn't look so good, especially compared to the E3 stuff we saw a few years ago. What the hell happened?! Graphics aside, please let this be good. If this just ends up being another bad GTA ripoff I'm going to be really bummed.

Sleeping Dogs looks better than this?

Portillo's is some tourist shit. Get after some Murphy's or Gold Coast dogs.

Portillo's is the Giordano's of Hot Dogs-good, but mainly consumed by visitors who don't know any better.

@krullban: I saw that too. I'm suddenly more excited for this game knowing that there is some bizarre shit hidden in there. I hope they handle it well.

Somehow it never occurred to me that you'd be able to hack into all the drawbridge controls. I'm weirdly more excited about the possibility of jumping the Michigan Avenue bridge during a car chase than anything else I've seen from these previews.

Exactly what I was thinking for the entire trailer. If a GTA VI logo appeared at the end, I would have thought it just as likely as the Watch_Dogs title. That's by no means a bad thing, and I like the friendly shoves W_D has given V. (Assuming this is another one of those)

It's entirely possible that I'm just trying to justify only buying one of the two because I'm cheap.

@notnert427: One is a coop, MMO-ish, RPG third person shooter set in an instanced New York. The other is an open world crime game with a linear narrative and Deus Ex sensibilities of choose-your-approach in gameplay. Aside from both games looking great and being third person shooters, I don't see very many similarities.

Ain't no windmills in the windy city. Or cliff faces, or mountains, or a dam, or large bridges crossing large bodies of water either. Seems like they took some extreme liberties with the areas outside of downtown.

Am I the only one who feels like this game is just somewhat of a beta for The Division? I expect that it will be a quality game and all, but it just feels like a "Person of Interest"/GTA version of what we'll get later with the more FPS-style of The Division. I guess I just don't see the need for the two games here, other than defraying development costs by selling two versions of what appears to be a similar game. I know Ubisoft is using two "different" engines with "Snowdrop" and "Disrupt", but I imagine that they share a whole lot in common. I may just wait on The Division, provided they don't bump it to Q4 2015 or some crap. Maybe Watch_Dogs will be excellent in its own right.

I know everyone is still sitting under the open world shadow of rockstar taking notes, but this was a little much for me. I love rockstars games, but I don't want every urban open world game to try to be a Gimmicked GTA.

Portillos locations are not as plentiful around here as one would hope.

Hmmmm...feeling more positive than the last trailer, which really lowered my expectations. If they can pack enough variety into the world and not make it get too over the top and silly this could be good.

The PvP stuff also sounds as if it could be really interesting,I have always wanted someone to make a game where you could slip into other people's worlds without them being informed, leaving the player to work out who is who. Hopefully they can get it right. - Really want this game to be the reason I buy a PS4 - still waiting for the game.

No it's not just you. I think everything about it is generally starting to look less interesting on both the graphic and gameplay level. Maybe it's just taking too long since the reveal and our minds are playing tricks on us, but I remember that despite the somewhat average quality E3 live stream, this game looked amazing. Now it's looking mildly interesting at best, and pretty boring and ugly at worst.

If nothing else, their fake cars that look like real cars are on point.

"hyper connected" Online DRM for no reason except being Dark Souls-esque.

While the overall excitement for this game has seemed to drop off, I'm still really looking forward to playing a game set in my sweet home of Chicago. I trust Ubisoft will make good. And yes Patrick, I will also be looking for a Portillos.

I have little interest in the game, but I really just want to drive around my city to see how accurate stuff is. I want to feel like those San Franciscoins felt in Driver: San Francisco, dammit.

@graf1k: That E3 debut looked way better than even Infamous SS. But yeah, that was always gonna be a best case scenario kind of thing, and this being mult platform and cross gen...

Anyways, this game has always looked pretty boring to me, before and after the "downgrade". It has to do a lot with the hacking stuff to get me interested because what we've seen of the story so far looks so mediocre.

Also, what the fuck is up with the "edgy" camera work in the beginning? Some quicker cuts and it could've come out of MTV in the 90s. Good that they're wearing those R* inspirations on their sleeve with this trailer though.

Is it me or is this game looking worse with every trailer release? I hope that Tom Clancey game doesn't go the same way.

This is one of those games I don't want to buy on current gen but want to buy a PS4 for. When will they announce the PS4/Vita bundle. When lord?! When is it gonna be that time?!

It's not even funny how much worse the recent footage looks when compared to those early gameplay videos. Hope it looks somewhat comparable on PC.

Portillo's is pretty good. Not sure if it's overrated though maybe properly rated(?). I like their food. :)

Coming out after Infamous is really going to hurt the knee jerk perception of the "next gen-ness" of this game. It will probably have a much bigger world and a lot more content in terms of hours to 100%, but my and many other people's immediate thought is "the visuals aren't anywhere near as good as Infamous," which is unfortunate.

GOD that camera work makes me want to throw up. One take, camera movement done with a controller.

@graf1k: Just watch the debut video they had from two years ago. Though to be fair, that was a PC dev kit and this was before devs even knew what the final specs of the new consoles dev kits we're going to be so there could be an additional download for a high res texture pack just in the PC version just like Sleeping Dogs.

Looks cool, but graphically it doesn't look as nice as GTA V.

Content wise, it looks great. Graphically I can't tell if it's actually been downgraded or if what once looked amazing when it was first shown now looks a little dated after playing Infamous SS.

Ok, I am willing to set everything else aside because I am pretty sure I saw a fire breathing metal dragon and a giant robot spider in there somewhere. That alone could be enough.

How they mention the multiplayer happening reminds me an awful lot of the Souls games, but sneakier.

Looking good. I'm glad they used the extra time from the push-back to downgrade the graphics and release more and more trailers to make sure everyone is sick of hearing about it by the time it comes out. I jest.
