We're Playing Dark Souls Too! - Part 01

how DARE they making a video of a just released game that a lot of people are waiting for? ... Stupid people. And how DARE they producing premium content of the older games that a lot of people enjoy!

Ah man, I was so looking forward to this coming out on Friday. I've had it preordered to get it courier delivered for months. Now, I've found out I cant get Friday off work to collect it, and I can't get a day off til Tuesday, so I've had to get the delivery changed.

Now I'll have to spend the entire weekend seeing and hearing people jizz all over the game, and I can't join in. Complete disaster!!! God damn my employers! Damn them to hell! :(

guys im pretty sure there is a stat which allows you to perform actions quicker, which is new to DSII, that icludes how quickly you raise your sheild.

oh man im torn, i normally dont care about watching gameplay or anything about a game. but i really want to in cold for ds2 just like the other souls games. but at the same time. the game is not out here until friday and i cant wait to watch this.

i sorta get where your comming from, althought i still like brad playing, just as i liked watching vinny and patrick playing. but i would love to see rorie play. think he only did it for the quick look of dark souls but not sure either that or demon souls but im pretty sure they did not cover that one.

Man, I really want to watch this but I kinda want to play through the game myself first. I've played through Demon's Souls and Dark Souls, and they were long enough ago that I kinda forgot the details and they were enjoying to watch. However, I'll probably have to skip this feature if it becomes super regular. The game isn't even out until Friday here in the UK (thought I MIGHT be lucky enough to get it a day early thanks to an awesome online retailer), and I'm not sure how fast I could catch up with the crew.

That said, I hope everyone enjoys it. It seems like a sequel worth waiting for, and it'll be fun to come back to these videos in a few weeks/months and see how they do.

Duh. I can tell you guys are not cool because you would have been excited to meet the Blacksmith who is voiced by New Zealand comedian Brett Tamarind who is basically the funniest person alive on planet earth right now. Let the Noobsouls begin.

I'm not usually on the "Brad is bad at video games" bandwagon, but watching that boss fight with Rorie and Vinny in the backseat was hard. With Rorie and Vinny basically being a second and third pair of eyes, Brad was still constantly "getting greedy" with his hits, ignoring his stamina, claiming he was healing when he was not, etc.

The amount of parries in this video is disturbingly low.

@sogeman: 100% agree. Vinny's style of gameplay is more entertaining but then Brad wouldn't have anything to do but fall asleep.

I like that the ghosts have more detail now.

@2headedninja: How DARE someone have a differing opinion. The game came out yesterday, and so far we've had 3 hours of a play through. A lot of people are trying to avoid this game until the PC release and you can't seriously think that GB hasn't done more than enough Souls coverage already. People are overreacting now because they know that many more "Parts" are sure to come...

Well I guess I'll just have to stop visiting the site for a little over a month. See you guys again in April!

@brad Just letting you know, the fire longsword is more for a caster type character, you'd be better off using an upgraded normal longsword. I have roughly similar stats as you and i'm doing triple the damage you're doing with my longsword +3.

How many of you duders are waiting for the PC release for their first experience with Dark Souls II? I am, and watching this and the QL are making the mouth water for some of this action.

Ugh, can't watch these until after April 25th! I am really trying to go into Dark Souls 2 without any knowledge or spoilers.

Seeing the Old Dragonslayer made me pretty excited for when I can play this game...

I feel bad for any site member who isn't into the Souls series. A deluge for us is kind of a drought for them.

This would be great. Relationships would be broken ("NO! YOU JUST USED MY TITANITE SLAB FOR THE WRONG THING!") but seeing different playstyles as well as hearing different perspectives from the player himself would be a treat. I haven't watched Rorie play Souls on Giant Bomb proper since the Dark Souls Quick Look.

I understand they really love the soul series, but I wish they would bring back the "random pc" game feature, instead of over saturating it with these games. This however, is just my opinion and they can of course do what they want and a lot of people seem to like it.

Breaks my heart, too, because I'm just spending more and more time on other sites lately. UPF is the only thing on here that I get excited for anymore, but, as you say, it's their site, yada, yada.

Haha I love the beginning. Them laughing at the people running off the edge and then Brad running off a ledge himself shortly after. Being able to see ghost replays of people who've died nearby is a cool feature.

When playing the PtD edition for pc, i routinely saw people standing/sitting at bonfires. they usually look almost solid but quickly fade.

What areas or spoilers should I expect watching this? I'm a little ways in, but don't want anything ruined.

I approve... but, Brad is already doing Demon's. It would be nice to have someone else playing.

FEAR has the best kicking. You can roundhouse kick people in that game @patrickklepek.

All strong contenders, but all wrong. Dark Messiah of Might and Magic has the best kicking of any game ever.
