Oh God... It's From Software... NOOOOO~~~!!!!!!

War... Inside and Out.... New catchphrase??

I think 50% of the fun in Steel Battalion was that ridiculous controller you got with it. Pulling invisible stuff and shuffling between that and the pad doesn't seem that great..

Posted by Giantstalker

Said it before, but I might get a Kinect for this.

I have way too much disposable income lol

Did you just laugh at poor people..? Classy.

Capcom ehh?? I think I'll wait until they announce SUPER Steel Battalion: SUPER Heavy Armor EX-LD Edition

Posted by SkullcrusherMountain

@ninjakittyboxrz: Really? ULTIMATE Steel Battallion will be 6 months after that, and not available as DLC.

Posted by Giantstalker

@onan: No, I laughed at the ridiculous lack of value that is Microsoft's Kinect

Posted by ch3burashka

So, Steel Battalion is just two people duct-taped together?

Developer(s)FromSoftware, Inc.

and that "hey let's apply Street Fighter style names to anything Capcom are involved in" gag is really not funny anymore

Edited by Krrutch

still play steel battalion from time to time, wish i could use my ridiculous controller with this :|

looks cool though, seems like they dropped the future ww2/normandy beaches angle too

I thought it was funny... I hadn't really seen that "gag" before though.

Using the Kinect in conjunction with a controller is actually a really clever idea, hope they implement this into the game well because its still hard to imagine how to play this game

Posted by maskedarcstrike

I actually think this looks kinda cool. If executed right it could be a ton of fun.

Hopefully you play it the right way..... With a helmet and flight suit.

Ok. Maybe.

On a side note: I own Steel Battalion.

Posted by tourgen

opens with a quote from Thomas Paine? That's amazing.

Posted by SkullcrusherMountain

So what I'm seeing is a WWII tank game where the tanks have legs instead of tracks. I liked it better when it was called Tren---Iron Brigade.

I want mechs in my mech game, goddamn it. Mechwarrior 5 can't come soon enough (if it still exists) or that other indie developed mech game.

I thought Microsoft was extremely opposed to using a controller and kinect at the same time. The whole "You are the controller" BS. I'm glad FROM is nutty enough to ignore that and just make this.

Predare to die?

Posted by mewarmo990

There's no controller. There's no controller. There's no controller.

They weren't opposed to it. Halo, Mass Effect and GRAW are doing the same not just From Software.

That black guy has white guy arms. I don't see race. I only see placeholder models.

Posted by echelon11

@zombie2011: They're not opposed to that, they're opposed to selling bullshit accessories to use with Kinect. Xbox controllers are in fact actively encouraged.

Looks like a bunch of shoehorned-in quasi-minigames that you do in between playing the game. I guess it could help immersion, but I'm not optimistic. I'm way too conscious of the "mime" aspect of Kinect for it to really feel immersive, most of the time.

Posted by devil_spawn666

What, so this is a mini game compilation? Must be, it's Kinect.

Seriously though, if it works and Kinect can differentiate your hand movements when your holding a controller as opposed to when your hands are free, then great.

But, miming pushing buttons is just that, miming. Is anyone really happy with that? The navigation aspects of the Kinect seems to be everyone's biggest gripe with it

@maskedarcstrike: now all i need is an ejection seat

Posted by ArcLyte

this will never out-do the original steel battalion, the greatest mech simulator ever.

I don't understand, how could you get the Iron Brigade name mixed up with anything else, There's no other game like it.

Posted by Ishatawk

I don't know, I like the music.

Posted by KoolAid

Noooooo! I came up with this idea, only difference is a keyboard and controller...

Posted by AstroCow

Atrocious voice acting.

Posted by Driadon

From a gameplay perspective, this trailer actually got me kind of on board. Though, those be some ugly character models.

I'm super in love with the idea of this. Ambitious as fuck!

False! Incorrect! Wrong!

Posted by GorillaMoPena

I'm not in unless the game comes with a one button controller that is a plastic flip lid and eject button

Looks interesting but I can see the potential for a lot of frustration.

Posted by soupbones

Does this mean I have to put down the controller everytime I'm inside the mech?

Posted by MisterFaulkner

Kinect? Forgot I bought that. Thanks to From Software for reminding me.

Posted by MeatSim

You really need to get a lock on the hatch of your mech.
