I've been playing WoW about 14 hours a day at a minimum, and finally hit level 43 with my Rogue. 
 
I started to play around 5 a.m. today and just got off in an Inn, after a lot of looting and solo'ing VC for money.  Kinda short on gold, atm.   
 
Man, I went from a solid 3.4 GPA to a 1.5 GPA in my senior year of high school because of WoW, and ended up losing my chance to go to Swarthmore because of it.  Granted, I ended up going to Japan as the fall-back, but excessively playing WoW ruined my life in high school. 
 
This is my first time back in WoW in 4 years, 4 years I was clean from it and brushed it off.   This is what I accomplished in the few days I've been back: 
 

• Haven't Showered Yet
• Empty Bottles of Everclear, beer tonic water, AMP, and Hoagies (some unfinished and rotting on the floor)
• Pissed in TWO bottles due to being too lazy to go to the bathroom
• Missed My First Mock Trial for Law School Yesterday
• Haven't Worked on My Research for Another Class
• Got An Outline Due at 4 p.m. Today for My Night Class
• Haven't Answered A Single Call All Weekend

Seriously, just quit the game. It's just a bunch of 1's and 0's dude, nothing that shows anything to your life. Games are for fun, and peeing into bottles and skipping school doesn't sound fun.  
 
Unless, that's your thing. I quit playing and I'm never going back because it's just a time sink, you don't get anything out of that game, just grind and grind and hope your luck is good to get better gear.

Geez, I've played WoW on and off since summer 2005 and it hasn't taken anything away from my life or grades. I'm thinking I'll start up again when Cataclysm hits. 
 
You ought to invest in some self-discipline, really...or therapy? Something's obviously not right when you're pissing in bottles and secluding yourself like that. I didn't even do that when I was actively raiding, and you're only level 43.

 On the bright side, I now have 43 gold, so I can buy myself my tier 2 mount, got some good loot with the guild I just joined with, and some other stuff.  In HS I used WoW as an escape tool from the pressure of my parents and whatnot, but now...I got no excuse, I mean...law school isn't even stressing me out.  I'm just addicted to it.  It's like legal fucking crack.  I don't even wanna have sex or do anything else, I just wanna get more loot and shit.       Hot damn, never expected this.  It's all because GT5 got delayed too, damn...that's the first time I even thought of GT5 since I started WoW.  x.x "

How can you be only level 43 and be low on gold when you play 14 hours a day and piss in a bottle? You're clearly doing something wrong. Also, you're crazy for pissing in a bottle because of a game. Just crazy. The only logical explanation for why someone would piss in a god damn bottle because of WoW would be if you were in some high end raiding guild and in the middle of a raid, which you're obviously not. Even then, any normal person would just tell their guild "BRB TOILET" or whatever. You can't really blame the game for this. I guess some people are just weak that way and easily addicted to things.

I've never understood how people can become so easily addicted / obsessed with MMO's. I've been playing them for over 10 years (EQ/FFXI/WOW) and have never let them interfere or take over my life.  The only game where I ever felt like I was beginning to play too much, was PSO when I was still in my teens, and without much responsibities in life.
 
I often hear WoW get singled out a lot for being a terrible influence, but its actually far easier easier to play in short bursts than most other games in the genre.  If you've never played a MMO before, and at least have some semblance of common sense / self-respect, you won't let the game become a detriment to your well-being / happiness. I often  find them  to be a fascinating experience, but unfortunately there will be some lost causes that you'll encounter along the eay, every once in a while.

Agreed.  Especially since Kaos posted it.  So glad that being a chick, pissing in a bottle is NOT an option.  Although I have had guildies laugh because our computers are RIGHT under the bathroom and they've heard the toilets flush over vent if one of us went up to use the bathroom and the other is on vent. "
