    So recently I've been playing World of Warcraft. For me, WoW is a kind of like that one girl you've always liked as a friend and every once in awhile it becomes friends with benefits, but it will never progress beyond that. And this has been going on for 3 years. And you never really even get that far in all of your hook-ups. I suppose you could throw me in the casual category because of that, but I'm getting away from the point.

    In my recent quest to finally hit a level cap (i.e. get somewhere), I've been questing like mad and I'm finally 1 level away from hitting 80 & perhaps making my WoW experience into a game that I constantly play (not gonna lie, even once I hit 80 I don't think it's going to happen, especially with Halo: Reach right around the corner). I found the new dungeon system very useful and I only wish it had been implemented sooner... but there's one problem.

    A little earlier than this post, I had been running the Culling of Stratholme with a random group. Everything went really well, and we finished with some nice drops (of course, nothing for a Rogue. NOTHING DROPS FOR ROGUES, DAMMIT). So I'm waiting for Chromie to come so I can turn in the quest about escorting Arthas through til the end of the instance, and just as I'm about to turn in the quest to click the "Complete Quest" button, I'm kicked from the party. Once the instance is completed, that should not be able to happen.  Of course, it's not hard to redo the instance and I'm fully aware of that. But it's really inconvenient when you finish something, only to be completely robbed and have to start all over again from the beginning. Or, going back to my original comparison, it's like your finally going to get laid, but right as you're about to start (or finish), someone's parents walk down the stairs. Sure, you can start it again, but you're going to be extremely paranoid that the same thing is going to happen again, so you're especially careful.

    I know it's not a great story, but I'm waiting for Entourage to load. I need to keep myself busy, dammit.

    That does suck bro, just the nature of the beast I'm afraid.  You gotta hurry up and do your business at the end of instances, cause most people don't dawdle.  Me and my friend queue together all the time, and we kick the other players usually right after the last boss has been looted so we can move on.

    If your not willing to go on scheduled Guild runs several days a week hours and hours at a time, With the express purpose of getting the best shit in the game,
    Then END-GAME is not going to be for you.   Unless of course you PvP, But well..... WoW PvPers.... yeah.... So many better games for PvP action....

    It will only infuriate you waiting for hours and hours and hours to get some shitty pug going only to have it fall apart 1 boss in after the first wipe,
    And then having to wait until the following week to try again since your locked to a fail run because you were not geared enough to get into a good group
    and were not lucky enough to get into a decent PUG.

    To play End-Game and get the most out of it, You need to invest tons of time, Know your role and memorize all the fights so you dont fuck everyone else your playing with.
    Plus you NEED (Thats NEED not should) to get into a good raiding guild.
    Causual guilds will not get you the best gear, Period.  So unless all you want to do is wander around killing mobs and bullshitting with guildmates, You need a structured raiding guild

    The downside to a good raiding guild is that you have to show up, ALL THE TIME if you miss even just 1-2 days there are lots of people begging to step in and take your place, And unless you are the best of the best at your role, Odds are you will be dumped for someone who is better geared, More experienced or just plain more willing to be there for EVERY raid.

    And IMO if your not going to try and get the best gear possible, Then WTF is the point of an MMO
    And the sheer amount of time that is required to get that gear, Or even to be in a position to have a chance to get that gear is insane,
    And thats what led me to ultimately quit the game.

    I had the same in Drak'Tharon keep, Drakuru is having his little speech while I got removed from group, and got transported out by the timer like 3 secs before he was gonna accept my hand in. Bit of a "Fuuuuuuuuu" moment.

    And never, ever, let nosy parents mess up the deed, just lock the door, we invented door locks and chains for a reason!

    @TaliciaDragonsong:
    haha, it's a bit harder when your bedroom/basement don't have a lock.

    @Coombs:
     Ultimately, that's why I haven't kept up with the game either. Being in college and having a job on top of that, I just don't have the time to keep up with all that stuff on top of maintaining any sort of social life. That's probably why I only play for a month a year, I enjoy it and think it's fun, but the end-game stuff is just too much for me to handle. To make things worse,    there's other games I enjoy far more than WoW, so there's really no point in even playing to begin with. Although that's more of my fault, not the game's.

    The main reason why I eventually quit WoW was the dependence on scheduling.  I play games when I have free time, I don't really have a set time in my life where I can plan for games.  Most guilds want to either run during the late night or early evening.  The moment I started adjusting my real life around the game I realized it was time to quit.

    (However, the early Sunday morning arena matches I had with my few friends worked out well tho).
