Best 360 Headset?

#1 Posted by MrBelmont (21 posts) -

Im sure this has been discusses plenty of times, but im just hoping for a few quick opinions. Ive got a baby on the way so playing games at a jillion decibals has to go. Im only going to be using them for the sound in game, as I rarely play anything online and never talk even when I do, so microphone doesnt matter. Just want some good headphones that sound great. I need wireless and would like to keep it under $150.

Has your TV got a headphone out? If so, you don't need to worry about a 360 specific headset if you don't care for the mic.

I agree with bibamatt, if you don't care about integrating XBL chat into the headset, whatever will work. Obviously depending on your theater setup, the connection to the system will be the only other issue you need to tackle. Headphone jacks making this super easy, but you can always get RCA to 1/8th inch adapters to hook to any audio out connections you have.

I've owned several of the Turtle Beach headsets. All of them broke after about six months of regular use. I know that's anecdotal, but I wouldn't recommend them.
