I don't know about you guys, but I always end up missing out on free things that Xbox Live release on the marketplace for weekends, or the 'sorry we suck at keeping servers online' free arcade games that only last a weekend.

They make certain things free after a period of time, ranging from Gamer Pics to Map Packs etc, but I always struggle to find them before its too late or at all thanks to the Marketplaces bad layout (cant wait for the fall/november update!)

Sooo I was thinking that we make a list of things that are free on Xbox Live Marketplace so everyone can take advantage of it! What do you guys think? I'll try to keep it updated in this first thread if people are interested in this.

Go to New Arrivals and you can see all the new themes and content, usually like 4 or 5 a day and it's easy to find free ones.

I know someone on the marketplace is a "view free content only" menu, but I don't remember exactly. I can't access my xbox right now though.

I remember seeing a Free Stuff tab under the New Arrivals section when they changed the look of the Marketplace. Unfortunately, now it seems to be absent from the New Arrivals page; for me at least.

I considered quitting gaming after playing that. My life was fulfilled. Nothing would ever match it.

I was not aware they were actually charging people for this horrible game.  I suppose it was simply free for a specific amount of time due to the Christmas debacle. :(

I mean, it's by no means amazing, but people trash it super-dee-duper low.

I think Microsoft must have been forced to compensate Chair. It wasn't selling super-high, so Microsoft was probably like "give us a 10% discount on every download". Since MS already profits 70%, it didn't matter much to Chair, I don't think.

There's been a couple free things for limited times too, and those were usually pretty good.
