Bombers I need help, for some reason I have been getting this message for the past couple of weeks on my xbox whenever I try to either redeem a code or buy ms points directly off of my xbox. It says, Can't retrieve information from Xbox LIVE. Please try again later. Status code: 80169D94 So I'm just wondering if any of you guys have a solution to this problem I really don't want to call customer support so I wanted to know if there was anything I can do to fix it myself.

@McGriddle550: After poking around on the internet, it seems like the error code is tied to the possibility of your billing address not matching your current address or even worse suspect fraudulent activity on the account. Sounds like there is just some weird billing issue on Microsoft's end.

Either way it seems like you are going to have to call support on this one.

I wonder how many more generations of consoles will have to come and go before they figure out just explaining the error is far better than using a cryptic status code. Jeesh.

It also may take a day or two before they get to resetting whatever it is they need to reset. Chances are it won't be fixed right away, but eventually.
