Over the Winter sale I bought the Mass Effect 2 DLC and I've been trying to download it since then. The only thing is the download speed is ridiculous, I must be getting 2 Kb/s. On Steam I get over 3 Mb/s download from any server that I choose, including their west servers. All of my ports are forwarded, and I am using an ethernet cable. 
 
 Currently I am downloading Kasumi - Stolen Memory, which is at 74% and has taken about 1-2 days to get this far. This DLC is only 708.86 MB, which on Steam would take me ~20 minutes. I have Overlord and Lair of the Shadow Broker left to download and Shadow Broker must be double the size. 
 
 Also, When I am downloading why does Xbox Live log me out after about 5 minutes, I don't want to babysit my Xbox while downloading, since I've been doing so for a day and a half now. Is this a common problem?

Not a common problem at all. Sounds like your net. Are you using wired or wireless? 

I am using wired, This is pretty weird seeing as how when I got the Xbox I downloaded Alan Wake in under 3 hours. 
 
Some other Information on the Xbox Forum post: 
 According to Speedtest.net my internet speed are the following: 
 Download: 25 MB/s  
 Upload: 14 MB/s    

Well, it's definitely not your net then. I really don't know what to tell you since I downloaded Shadow Broker and Undead Nightmare a week ago and it took me less than 30 mins for both (and my net is way slower than yours). 
 
Maybe there are some blocked ports or someone is throttling the DL speeds (especially if you're using a university's network)? Maybe the ethernet cable is frayed or not plugged in properly? 

I'll try changing out the ethernet cable, maybe the one shipped with the Xbox had something wrong with it. Thanks for the help.

Just did a test with Wireless,  
 
1% of "Kasumi" only took 13 seconds to download. It may be the ethernet cord. Thanks Enigma!
