So, I am bored and thought I would get community's opinion on what they think is the best game for the money these days. Thing is: I have some MS credits burning a hole in my pocket, and there are a lot of games for the XB1 I am really interested in getting this month. This is essentially a "what game should I get" post.

    1. Halo Master Chief Edition. I played all Halos on previous consoles and loved them, but it's familiar ground, ya know?

    2. Forza Horizon 2. I played the crap out of FH1, but I expect this title to be heavily discounted come Black Friday. I base that entirely on how I picked up FH1, which was $20 or $25 I think at MS store on Black Friday the month after it's release.

    3. Sunset Overdrive. This one seems very promising and new, but again, something tells me it will see big discounts on Black Friday.

    4. COD: Advanced Warfare. I've not played any CODs after MW3, which left a horrible taste in my mouth. But getting tempted to re-enter the fray after some good reviews.

Did I forget anything? Any other predictions for Black Friday deals?

I would totally go for Sunset Overdrive if I was you. It's so far the coolest looking game to come out of this generation of consoles.

I bought my Xbox last week, and here's my lineup:

    - Sunset Overdrive. Came with, reminds me of Infamous, and Resistance 3 leads are on it (I loved that game, man).

    - D4. It's Swery.

    - Forza Horizon 2. Really cool game, but since not much has changed you might as well wait for a sale.

    - Halo. Some of my favorite games, but the remaster of 2 (my least favorite in the series) would've been enough to sell me. Guess it depends on your fandom.

So I think those are all worth it. If you're not dying to play any, wait for sales. I know Target's doing that buy two, get one free thing. Granted, if you got credits I'm really curious to see if the consoles do more digital sales this gen.

@xyzygy: yeah that's my inclination. Plus giving a little extra support to a new IP. But still thinking about it...

Next week is that Target sale where you can buy 2 and get 1 free. I personally plan on taking advantage of that with Halo, Sunset overdrive and AC Unity. That is I already got Call of Duty today. I would say take advantage of that deal next week and maybe get them all? That's coming from someone whose birthday is in the midst of game season which is always a great help!

Ooh that target deal sounds like just the ticket. A good way to get all four games on my list. But will it be better than Black Friday deals....also @csl316 I think digital sales have to be higher this gen given the investment. Also I'm not going to lie: I'm more likely to load a game in a session if I don't have to get up and swap disks. Sad but true.

I bought Advanced Warfare earlier, and i'm glad to say that I'm having more fun in the multiplayer than I ever did with Modern Warfare 3, which was the last I bought. I've played all the last bunch of CoDs except World at War, and AW is a fantastic surprise. And campaign is really great so far too.

The last bunch of games I've bought and looking forward to lately are: The Walking Dead Season One, Halo The Master Chief Collection, Divekick, Forza Horizon 2, Assassin's Creed Unity, Destiny, Minecraft, Volgarr the Viking, Far Cry 4, The Wolf Among Us, and yes CoD AW.

Forza is great alternative for not shooting stuff.

Walking Dead I've never tried and beaten, until now.

Halo MCC, I'm really looking forward to. Those cutscenes look just amazing, and Rocket Race, yo!

AC Unity, I liked Black Flag's surprise ending. I'm looking forward to getting something next-gen only, and Dark-Souls styled DLC might be really cool. And I've always liked stabbing someone in the back with a hatchet, and running away like in AC III.

Volgarr is great if you get it for free.

Far Cry, I can't wit to get back to hiding in the bush, sniping something from far away, and jumping off the cliff.

Wolf Among Us, I'm looking forward to. I bought it on PS3, and I just didn't have enough care to finish on PS3.

GTA V. I want to get back looking for dead bodies with my friend, and all around trolling the other multiplayer guys back. I want to at least try TDM this time. I hope they have the online heists working at some point. And damn, they haven't even announced DLC yet. I was hoping to do a casino heist along with CJ, already.

Dragon Age Inquisition. That's a game I'm probably going to wait until December to get. I love that it has such bold colors, and looks gorgeous just walking through the grass. It has multiplayer, it looks just really great. I can sort of wait just a bit, though. That campaign is gonna take so long, its sort of whatever right now.

There's alot of good stuff. Oh, and Geometry Wars 3, I'm most likely getting, even though I dont' necessarily think its gonna be as good as part 2. Its cheap enough at $15, and its the only Geo Wars game on next-gen that's on sale, so that's the one I'm buying. I sure hope its good though..

Sunset Overdrive, I haven't tried. That's gonna have to wait until I can find a good deal on it, so we'll see..

I picked Sunset Overdrive amongst the bunch and am not disappointed. It's very good. People want to compare it to many games but I feel it's most analogous to Dead Rising (but so much better imo). Why not support a great new IP instead of sequel number 10 or remake number 5 or whatever else there is. I'll get around to getting Horizon 2 at some point.

@liquidprince: yeah assassins creed looks good but I totally hit a wall with that franchise.

And what?! Geo Wars 3?! Sweet! I lost the geo wars to the rhomboids, triangles and Circles, but am eager to take my vengeance.

Sunset Overdrive for sure. There's also GTA V if you didn't get to peep that last gen. But you should probably just get sunset.

No matter what you pick, and I paraphrase GnR: It's hard to hold a candle to those bold November games.

I don't own an Xbox One, but the only November game I'd buy(and already have pre-ordered) is Dragon Age. The rest of them, while probably good games, I wouldn't play long enough to warrant more than a Gamefly rental.

Out of the ones you listed, though, I would probably get Sunset Overdrive. Mainly because it is new.

Forza Horizon 2 is the best driving game I've played in a very long time and Sunset Overdrive is the best open world action game I've played in a very long time. With the Master Chief Collection you know what you're gonna get, and that is a whole bunch of stuff.

Hearing a lot of Sunset Overdrive, which is kinda confirming my thoughts. I would say that halo and forza will probably happen eventually. I'm surprised that COD even made it onto my list since I was actually angry at the end of MW3 and all but swore off the series. It would take something special to get me back into Ass Creed. They're not bad games, I just hit a profound wall with that kind of game after Brotherhood.

@stubert73: I do not think Sunset will be discounted. Maybe like $10 off the digital or from the Microsoft store. But Target, Best Buy, etc. won't drop it because it's less than a month old. FH2 is incredible, especially if you liked the first one, but you're right in that it'll probably be discounted on Black Friday for like $25. COD will likely be discounted, as it usually is, for like $30.

All three of those are definitely worth buying, but I'd get Sunset. It's very unique from the others and it's fun. I'm not buying the MCC personally because I own all the other Halo games on other platforms and I have COD for my multiplayer fix. Plus, I am not a fan of remakes/remasters. Just don't like paying money for something I've already bought. So, I'd say Sunset.

Another vote for sunset. This is getting easier. Also saw that target has 2x game trade-ins this week only (with buy 2 get 3 next week). Advantage: Milhouse!
