Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls

Game » consists of 9 releases. Released Sep 25, 2014

A third person action spin-off in the Danganronpa series, it thrusts the player into battle against an army of man-eating Monokumas.

    Short summary describing this game.

Ultra Despair Girls - Beginner’s Guide

Ultra Despair Girls gives fans of the franchise answers to questions that were left unanswered in the two previous games. It throws you into the post-apocalyptic Towa city, where the player is asked to defeat a team of evil middle schoolers and rid the city of evil robotic pandas. If you happen to skip the tutorials, or simply wish for more information, we have a guide to get you started.

    Genocide Jack Attack

Early on in the game you befriend a girl named Toko Fukawa, an insecure high schooler known previously as The Ultimate Nurse Student, who suffers from dual personality disorder. Her other personality is a serial killing maniac known as Genocide Jack. Genocide Jack is perhaps your most valuable asset. Genocide Jack, unlike Komaru Naegi (your character), uses close-range attacks to defeat several Monokumas at once. However, Toko Fukawa can only conjure Genocide Jack for a few seconds at a time, which the player can control by pressing triangle. In the top left of the screen, slightly underneath your life bar, there are three full batteries. When you use Genocide Jack, said batteries will deplete. Hence, she needs to be used sparingly in times of pressing danger. If the batteries are empty, search for item boxes to re-energize the batteries.

    Hack Gun Basics

Yes - that’s right! Your primary weapon is called the Hack Gun. In the previous installments of the Danganronpa franchise, the player is asked to fire the correct Truth Bullet

at the opportune time in a debate, for you to collect evidence and further the story. Fire the wrong argument too many times, and it's game over. However, unlike its predecessors, this is a third person action game. And instead of arguing with words, you are given a gun to do the arguing for you. The ammunition for your gun is referred to as Truth Bullets.

Press the L Button to use your Hack Gun. With your weapon at the ready (keep the L button pressed), take aim with the right stick, and fire your weapon with the R Button.

There are a variety of Truth Bullets to use: Move, Break, Paralyze, Dance, Detect, and Knockback. You need to replenish your Truth Bullets by picking up item boxes, or by scavenging the ones dropped by any Monokumas you shot down. Remember to pick up every kind of ammo: you do not want to find yourself full of one item but empty of another.

    Stealth Option

There are times when you can sneak past the Monokumas. Look for an arcade machine before you enter an area. Shoot a Truth Bullet - Move - at the arcade machine. Now you can check the room, and plan a safe route around the Monokuma Guards. If you forget the route half way through, press Select to safe check before taking a wrong turn.( Do not expect to find an arcade machine every hour orso. They are not frequently found.)

    Search for reference books

Search for reference books lying around Towa City. They will award you with new skills you will find in your skill screen.

    Use the skill screen

The skill screen helps you select abilities that give you an advantage in battle. Press the Start button and switch to the skill screen with the L/R buttons. Use the directional buttons to choose which skills to attach or replace. Skill points are required to attach newly found skills. You earn skill points by levelling up. These points will increase as Komaru levels up throughout the game by defeating more Monokumas.
