Wow, I was thinking of Haven when Jeff said PS2 B-Games and then Jan said it. At least Haven was extremely ambitious and well over what was budgeted, while this is like the safest, most calculated game. I did not like BOTW so this has no appeal for me; makes me curious though what BOTW fans think of it.

It's not an HD remake if the original was, uh, HD? This is only going to get more confusing as more games get remade in the future (4K remake? 8K remake? "Ultra HD Remake"? What do we call these?)

Am I alone in not caring for the last Call of Duty but loving this one? Most fun I had with a CoD game since MW/WaW (MW2 lost me with the double shotty spam).

Also loving the trigger tension. Feels like it encourages me to take my time to align shots and I'm playing the best I have with controller. I'm usually awful but doing good this time.

This was super fun. One of the best GB videos this year easily so props to Abby for sticking with it and doing a wonderful job.

I'm new to Spelunky but killing the shop keeper doesn't seem fun. It means you don't have a reason to interact with 50% of the game. Why collect money? Why do any of the money related challenges? It's annoying because it is more efficient. Feel like they should have done more to make killing the shop keeper more punishing. Also, as a newbie, I guess I'm now valuing bombs enough because I always use them to extract sweet succulent turkey meat.

This game has some wild surprises. I discovered a secret area that led to some really wild stuff that I am dying to know more about but also don't want to spoil. I can only imagine how much crazier it gets (furtherst I got is 3-2).

Genuinely shocked we get Spider-Man and Demon's Souls at launch, considering the setbacks this year. Mind you, that may mean these games are very buggy but whatever. I'm happy to have them. It's going to be a blast playing Demon's Souls while rewatching the GB playthrough of the original alongside.

I'm surprised people aren't making more of a deal about Cyberpunk not having next-gen patch until some time in 2021. It really kills interest in getting PS5 at launch if you're going to have to wait till next summer to play upgraded versions of Tsushima, TLOU2 and Cyberpunk. Maybe the load times will be faster at least but it's kind of crazy how you're buying a PS5 to play PS4 games at PS4 quality. Even Ubisoft games won't be patched.

This comment section is everything wrong with the world.

If only that were the truth lol

Haven't watched (I'm like a month behind now) but this does sound kind of icky. Might be the first podcast I'll skip.

These "DComs" were after my time but I've enjoyed BrutalMoose's reviews of them over the years. They are fairly ridiculous and seem to still have a fanbase.

I guess I'm in the opposite camp as a lot of people. I loved TLOU 1 but found the story to be pretty trite in light of its influences (Children of Men, Walking Dead). It was very well done but didn't leave me going, "Wow, I haven't seen this before!" While in TLOU 2, I thought its story was incredibly bold and original. Instead of being another Breaking Bad-esque story about an anti-hero, it instead places the player as the focus. It's your personal arc as a player gaining understanding of these waring factions, what starts prejudice and what if anything could ever end it.

The focus on how tribalism dehumanizes others through prejudice is very powerful and potent given what's going on in the world in 2020. In a way, I found it very uplifting because both Ellie and Abby were able to look past their prejudice/tribalism and grow.
