Alright I'm in chapter 3 right after Wake discovers that the kidnapper didn't show and wants to meet up in a new local. That's fine, however I'm trapped inside this room. I've tried the door several times and no go. I know darkness hit the place and shook it bad, maybe it's making the door stick, but I've got no clue how to get out. I know it'll be painfully obvious (most likely) and I'll kick myself later for not seeing it but help me out here if you please. I wanted to finish up chapter 3 but after being stuck for over ten minutes I turned it off and checked online (found nothing) so I'm asking here.

 @Catolf:  Is this the darkness attack that occurs immediately after you're waiting for the kidnapper? If so, I'm afraid the answer is obvious, haha. You have to go down to the next level. There should be a spot round the middle where you can go down to the next floor and exit through some kind of ladder (maybe? there's an exit down there anyway).

There is a hole in the floor, I think you have to jump over a chain to get to it.

You must jump over the chain. You'll see a slide going down on the other side of it.
