    Overview

Boggy has made an appearance in almost every game in the Banjo-Kazooie franchise. He often mistakes Jiggys for food and eats them, and needs help getting them out of his stomach. He has three children named Soggy, Moggy, and Groggy, and a wife known as Mrs. Boggy, although his wife eventually kicks him out to make him "earn his keep."

    Banjo-Kazooie

Shortly after entering Freezeezy Peak, Banjo spots an igloo; inside are three unhappy Polar Bears (Groggy, Moggy, and Soggy). They tell Banjo that their dad has gone looking for their Christmas presents and has been gone a while. Banjo says he will keep a look-out for him. Not long after, Banjo comes across Boggy, the children's dad. He complains of a stomach ache and says he never should have eaten the shiny, golden thing (a Jiggy). At the top of the giant snowman in the center of the level Banjo finds a sled. He jumps on and slides down a ramp, flying through the air and landing on Boggy. Boggy spits out the Jiggy and says he is off to race.

You will find him later in the level waiting to race. But Banjo is too big to fit on the sled so he gets Mumbo to turn him into a Walrus, after which he races Boggy. If Banjo wins, Boggy relinquishes another Jiggy. After Banjo wins the first race, Boggy will challenge Banjo and Kazooie to a different kind of race in the same location. Winning that race, with the help of the Turbo Trainers, earns Banjo yet another Jiggy. After losing this second race, Boggy gets depressed and says he should just go and find his children's presents, but this task falls to Banjo and Kazooie. Boggy is last seen in his igloo with his screaming children, just wishing they would be quiet so he can get some sleep.

    Banjo-Tooie

In Banjo-Tooie we find out that Boggy and his family has moved to the ice side on Hailfire Peaks. When you arrive at the new igloo you will see Boggy has put on a few pounds. Ms. Boggy tells you that he has become really lazy and stopped using his sled; all he does now is sit and watch his new, widescreen TV. When you speak to Boggy he tells you to bring him a fish. After finding a fish and offering it to Boggy, he coughs up a Jiggy in exchange. He then returns to his television, first watching Mr. Pants, but intimating to Banjo that he will later watch "Bear Babes."

    Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts

In Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts, you meet Boggy in Showdown Town and learn that he has been kicked out by Ms. Boggy. She became exasperated by Boggy's TV-watching and general laziness, and made him leave until he began to work for a change. While out of the house, Boggy decides that he should open an athletic gym. When you find him he is wondering about whether or not to expand his business. Banjo and Kazooie can visit Boggy's gym to increase their speed, stamina or strength.

    Banjo Land

When Banjo enters the throwback level Banjo Land you will see that Boggy not only runs a gym, but is the janitor in Banjo Land. But just as you would think, Boggy is not very motivated and never really does any work, which makes his boss Bottles displeased. He runs a few challenges in Banjo Land, one involving Banjo and Kazooie putting a bunch of rubbish in a trash can, and another in which they move ice cubes out of his igloo, simply because he does not want to do it himself.

    Jiggoseum

Boggy later appears as a contender in the Jiggosseum. The challenges he throws at you involve more strategy than anything else, since Boggy has neither speed nor stamina. The first challenge is based around dominos, and the second is a game of darts.

    Terrarium of Terror

Boggy also appears in the Terrarium of Terror in which he poses as an alien. In this world his fur is green instead of the usual grey and white. Kazooie doubts that he really is an alien, but Boggy won't back down and insists he is an extraterrestrial. As usual, he has a few challenges for you; the most notable is one similar to the Saucer of Peril found in Banjo-Tooie. He also needs Banjo's and Kazooie's help in rescuing a friend of his. In Act 2, Boggy seemingly has a doppleganger, or a robot clone, who needs help purefying the air and making it non-toxic.

    Banjo-Pilot

He is seen on a couple of tracks in Banjo Pilot.
