Mortal Kombat 12 Announced

Any MK people excited? I know some folks wanted an Injustice 3 but with DC in the state it's in.......idk seems like the safe move. I was high on MK9, kind of eh on MKX then high again on MK11. Fingers crossed they get weird with a new timeline

I wonder if there’s a partially completed Injustice 3 at NetherRealm that got scrapped after whatever is going on with the Warner/DC situation. 2019 (MK 11) to 2023 (this game) is a long gap for a studio that was usually putting out a $60 game every 2 years.

Studio instability has an amazing way to kill any creative process. I sincerely hope that the campaign is on par with MK11. It's the only fighting game I play and it's solely for the campaign. Please let this be good gaming gods!

@axl159: Yeah, the fact that this seems to have been announced between executive yawns doesn't exactly fill me with optimism about the direction it's going.

Especially considering how much Warner could use a big win right about now.

MK 11 kicked ass so I'll be there for 12.

I had a few caveats with the last one, mostly the uninspired finishers and the Krypt, but sure, I'm interested. The story and Towers are always fun.

I dunno, i didn't like the character design in 11, the music's always bland, they keep finding new ways to add cutscenes into fights, i'm kind of over Fatalities, they need to mix it up somehow to make me interested again.

I don't know if they can keep going down the path of the Kombat Kids, i just don't care about them.

@cikame: The fatalities have gotten too elaborate to be shocking or even fun. They need to go back to basics with that. Make it gruesome, but keep things quick and simple. I'd be cool with them just bringing back the classics. A lot of folks would complain that it's toned down, but people are gonna complain no matter what they do.
