    Overview

Microsoft Hololens is a mixed reality head mounted display that runs on a new computing platform called Windows Holographic.

    Technology

Built into Hololens is a depth camera with a 120°×120° angle of view, a microphone array, and a photographic video camera. The unit also includes an accelerometer, gyroscope, and a magnetometer.

The unit also has built in stereo speakers that do not block the users ability to hear the real world environment.

Currently, the only game that has been officially announced for Hololens is Minecraft. At E3 2015, Microsoft showed off a prototype demo off first person shooter called Project X-ray.
