Javelin glitches are still happening on the PS3.  I thought the update that was released yesterday was supposed to fix it.
 
Also, you can do it with other weapons as well.  I tried using the Stinger and a claymore, and it works just the same.  Hopefully IW will get this fixed because it's pretty annoying.  Especially on the PS3 where no one is getting banned for it.
 
Back to the fifty other games worth playing this fall, I guess...

I've found it still works on 360 as well so I don't think they've patched it yet. Also I only tried it once against a team of people who were doing it so it was justified and if I get banned for doing it once that would be stupid.

yeah, during a Bombing Run we encountered quite a few of em. they were annoying, and i hope they fix it soon

fuck it. i don't care. i played a few matches doing it, won like 4 free for all's in a row by a landslide doing it. it was fun while it lasted, but you cant get any killstreaks. so its stupid after a while. its just really funny at first.

What happened to that magic update technology Infinity Ward promised us, the stuff which was meant to patch the game dynamically as you play, eliminating any need for certifications? "

It's not fixed on the 360 yet either.  I just played a game less then 5 minutes ago that someone on the other team was using it.  He got first place at 38 kills 36 deaths.

Anyway the more I play against people using the Jav glitch, the more it seems useless to me. I mean the dude who did best with it last night went 31-30. Now I know there are people who struggle to keep their KDR above 1.0 so no disrespect. But if you have to abuse the easiest way to get points just because you want to level up fast, I only have one thing to say:

sometimes i found if your on a higher level up than they are the jav glitch won't kill you but that might of just bin luck

lmao i forgot this game even existed on the ps3...

Still isn't patched in the Xbox 360 version either as of yesterday.

It pisses me off so much that so many people would use it, but even more that something so stupid would get by Infinity Ward.

Oh, and the glitch ended my long ass killstreak last night. Almost raged quit because of it.

I just played someone this morning who was doing it. First time I've seen it. Its annoying but its not as game breaking as some people make it out to be.

That just strikes me as bad logic.  Just because a glitch isn't gamebreaking, it still is a glitch and should be fixed ASAP by the devs. "

No what you have is bad logic. If anything whether its a glitch or not actually is game breaking, then of course devs should patch that. But if it doesn't break the game then it just simply changes the way you play the game. The javelin bug is not game breaking, but would change how you would play the game. "

The 360 version hasn't been patched yet either. I reported about 3 people when I was playing a few mins ago. I accidentally wrongly reported one guy...I hope MS actually investigates the player before banning them otherwise I feel terrible about that.
