@flamingeyebrows:They do that, that's fine. I don't know if they will do that, though, and I have a feeling that Shep will be a big part of the story. This teaser did bring back Shepard, and didn't introduce a new protagonist, after all.
Worst case, and this is not all that unbelievable, is that they send out some team to Andromeda, something fucks up, and you as Shepard have to go check it out. That would suck.
Who knows, though. EA only knows how to make what sells (and bringing back a protag sells better than introducing someone new), but Bioware knows how to make something actually compelling. Hopefully BW has more of a say than EA, and we get something good.
Damn. I was still hoping that new ME games wouldn't be about Shepard any more. Ah well, at least it was femshep.
You know what I would really want? A neo-noir/cyberpunk game set on the Citadel. Something with a Blade Runner or Altered Carbon feel to it. They already did a "future of all life is at stake" plot - you can't go ahead from that, there needs to be a tonal shift.
At least it does look like they're trying for something at least a little different. I really hope it turns out okay.
I have a strong feeling that when someone actually gets around to launching a suit, Kickstarter's policies and TOS will be found to be legally unenforceable. You can't sign away your rights, contracts don't work that way. And, KS can't stand behind the third party clauses they've written in, because they take a direct cut of the proceeds. This type of stuff will have to be addressed in the not too distant future.
