I prefer bass myself, after drums, being a rhythm section guy, I guess. I'm not very good at getting the chords on guitar. I think several people being able to play one instrument is a good idea, though.
I think you could reasonably use a regular USB keyboard to play, it'd be kind of silly, but aren't all of the plastic instruments a bit silly? Letters instead of colored bars, it could work. Seems like there should already be a game that does it, somewhere.
I just posted what I guess would be spam, but I figure everyone would just ignore it anyway. I never feel the need to comment on pointless posts, I just figure everyone else works that way, too. I should know better, of course.
People keep saying that Sony has been leveling the playing field, but it seems to me that since the price drop anything that Sony does is absolutely tilting it in their favor. The 360 is now so much more expensive to match feature-wise to the PS3, the only advantages it still has are certain games, if you like them, and some people feel the Live experience is still better, which I don't really, especially for $50 a year.
