Checked out that Super Meat Boy Forever...not a great first impression.

Love the games and books. I adored the Netflix series. I had low expectations and it far exceeded what I wanted, so I'm pleased. That final shot is exactly what I wanted.

Thanks for the write-up! Pumped for Evo this year and I'm actually glad SFV is earlier so I don't have to stay up until 3 am!

Bugs aside, KCD is like if Skyrim had a lot more to offer than to just hit that reward center of your brain. One of Alex's praises of RDR2 was that he was planning out his days, as in making a note of what he can do in the day until it's time to go to bed, which is what I was doing frequently in KCD. Brewing the potions and hunting was fun and unlike anything I've experienced before in a game. I love how all your armor/clothing carries over into the cutscenes, at one point Henry looked so buff because I had 3 or 4 layers on.

I enjoyed RDR2 quite a bit but yeah, KC:D just did the 'a day in the life' so much better. I role played Henry hard. One of Ben's complaints against RDR was during main missions you couldn't stray from the path, but KC let you go about completing a task with quite a bit of freedom. I understand the staff didn't have any interest though.

KC without a doubt is my GOTY.

GB isn't alone in turning on the game a bit, media-wise. I've heard universal praise for the technical aspects but quite a lot of "I don't really like playing it" or "I probably won't finish it". I think the hype for this game was ridiculous too. At least for me personally, Rockstar does a couple things really well and a million little things very poorly and that's no different here. I don't think it's wrong to look at the broad scope of the game and, despite some amazing things it does, find the overall experience frustrating.

That said I have found myself sort of loving the game because of its awkwardness. My GOTY still this year (I haven't finished RDR2 yet) is Kingdom Come because the tedium and role-playing just really worked for me and I'm finding a lot of parallels with RDR2. I find the slow pace really appealing. I may have not hit that turning point where I realize I'm wasting time, though. I will also agree that this is Rockstar's high-water-mark in terms of characters/writing, so that's good.

Started this collection with Rondo of Blood. When you pause there is a quick save option and when you pick it, it claims "previous save will be overwritten" or something along those lines. Ok, but when you get a game over, it doesn't start you where you quick saved, nor does it pick back up there if you restart the game?

Anyone have any insight on this?

I love the Witcher series and unfortunately did not like Gwent. I'd kill to just be in the universe again and was hoping this had some good exposition. Is there enough of that if I don't adore the card game itself? I don't hate it just never felt the desire to play much in Witcher 3.

Everytime one of these goes free I struggle to actually make it happen - even if its a limited time thing like this and I can't keep it forever (totally cool). When I'm in the game's store page and I click "get access to this free thing" it takes me to the store and from there...?????????

Am I the only one that has this problem? Out of curiosity I even tried to buy one of the maps and I just...can't? Feel like I'm crazy.

My favorite filler episode in Super is the baseball game.

I haven't seen any of the movies so I can't really recommend. I'll say I did think the series started out really slow but it gradually gets better and better and ultimately I loved super. The final arc is fantastic.
