I wish there was a toggle in the menu bar for 3D audio do you could switch back and forth without digging into the system settings. Hard to compared game audio directly when you’re coming in and out like that.

@isomeri: I’ve been struggling to hear the difference between stereo and 3D audio other than when 3D audio is turned on for games that don’t support it everything sounds like muffled shit.

I’m not someone who is like “audio is audio”, I like a FLAC over an MP3, but for some reason I haven’t experienced any positional audio on PS5 that has tricked me into thinking sound is coming from behind or above etc. It all still pretty much sounds like left and right channels to me. Even in games like the RE8 demo where people say they really notice it it does nothing for me.

Maybe it’s my headphones? They’re great for music but maybe just not equipped for the new tech? I have them plugged into the controller, I assume that’s how Sony expect you to experience it? I dunno.

The prologue and the game’s world and characters were such a drag that i almost deleted the demo immediately. Getting into the character classes made it a bit more interesting, some of the powers seems cool, but from what I’ve played it seems so boilerplate and dull I can’t imagine playing more.

Also, this is a nitpick, but I really hate how it fades to black bringing the menu up. It’s a weird touch considering the game itself doesn’t pause.

@bisonhero: Oh for sure for sure! I know they’re very busy, and all the stuff they’ve had to do behind the scenes to get features going sounds wild! I’m just curious if they saw this and decided it wasn’t worthwhile, saw it but didn’t realise it’s from the Contradiction folks, saw it and are planning to do something later, or just plain old didn’t see it.

I spent some time thinking of a fake question to justify bumping this thread but honestly I’m just rewatching the Contradiction playthrough which is so good and really makes me want a QL of this new game but I’m worried it has passed the crew by so um yeah...

My only console is the Switch. I don’t have a PC and haven’t had a PS4 since 2017 so it’s definitely not a grass is greener sitch for me. The launch games really appeal to me and I wanna catch up on what I’ve missed over the years.

That said, I would be stretching in to afford a PS5 right now so the stock shortage is definitely a blessing to some extent.

@griffinmills: The app stopped working for me around the launch of iOS13. I highly recommend Bomb Cyclone as a replacement.
