I had the exact same fucking problem with Nyquil as Drew when I had a fever this year. I kept falling asleep for like half an hour but felt like I didn't sleep at all and was convinced I was trapped in a time loop by a conspiracy of 1800s aristocrats

EDIT: C'mon, toilet paper dude. Not all toilet paper is the same. I don't go in for the super-thick stuff, but if you have cheap, thin toilet paper you are doing yourself a disservice. It is unpleasant to use, you run the risk of it breaking, and you could end up causing skin irritation (in places you would not want to cause skin irritation) over the long term. Even nice toilet paper isn't expensive. If you aren't prepared to treat your own ass nicely, what kind of crazy person are you? Treat yo' ass right.

Giant Bombcast, 1/13/15: The one where they talk about crystal meth

My guess why Warframe can't be played across platforms is that platform holder (Vavle, Sony, Microsoft) want to take their cut of the transactions when you buy real money currencies, and don't you to be allowed to buy it elsewhere while you're playing on theirs. Are there any F2P games that are cross platform? Then again, maybe it's the version sync issue, and a player coming in with a PC account that has gear from a future version not present on a console whole mess up the game. I suspect it's due to various policies make it impossible or real challenging.

I had a buddy back in high school that used chewing tobacco. It's so incredibly disgusting.

I'm super glad Jeff pointed out that we don't actually know how safe vaping is. It's such an unregulated operation that even the incredibly common refrain that "it must be safer than smoking" absolutely needs to be examined further and tested before it's accepted so readily.

On top of that, of the few studies that have been done, some have shown that the exhaled vapor contains various chemicals that accumulate on surfaces... making the notion that it's safer for those around the user potentially complete bullshit.

Also:

Cmon Giant Bomb staff. How have you never heard of Robotrippin'? In West Philadelphia, at least by the schools, you are IDed when you buy Robitussin.

There are some fair advantages to "vaping", which will not be discussed here nor do I know anything about it what are you talking about get out of here cop.

I also know someone who chews tobacco on occasion. He is neither a "hipster" or does he particularly care about baseball. He's just kind of dumb.

As far as stories of kids trying to get to high, once a few of my friends heard that you could get high by just squatting down and breathing really hard for like a minute then standing up, sticking your thumb in your mouth and blowing. Needless to say, they did not get high and just passed out for a second. Luckily, they were fine but it seems like something that could probably give you brain damage or something. So, DON'T DO THAT.

I used to get that exact same thing from NyQuil that @drewbert is talking about, back when I was willing to take the stuff. You literally feel like you're trapped in some kind of horrible Phantom Zone between being awake and asleep, where you desperately want to do one or the other but you just can't. And I'd get the same sorts of hallucination-ish experiences also, but as Drew said not in a fun sort of everything-looks-crazy way, in a terrifying I've-lost-control-of-my-mind sort of way. It's like your thoughts and your dreams become indistinguishable from one another, it's awful.

The worst part is that I actually became addicted to the stuff for a little while there in college, when I stupidly tried using it to combat my insomnia. By the time I realized it was only making things worse, it was too late. Man, fuck that stuff. "So you can sleep medicine" my ass.

I'm eating dinner while listening to the bombcast. This bombcast is off to a great start! I'm not eating dinner anymore while listening to the bombcast.
