Wacky Races: Crash & Dash

Overview

Wacky Races: Crash & Dash is a racing game developed by Eidos Studios Sweden (Wii) and Farmind (DS) and was co-published by Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment and Eidos Interactive for Wii and Nintendo DS.

Gameplay

In Wacky Races: Crash & Dash players control one of ten different wacky racers as they try and pass the finish line first in each of the games races.

Game Modes

• Crazy Circuit - This is the main mode of play in the game. This mode contains 6 circuits of 4 tracks each that players go through consecutively.
• Wacky Race - This mode allows players to choose and play on any of the tracks in the game.
• Trap Challenge

Mad Dash Meter

As players race around the track there are items called Mad Dash Cogs that can be collected. These items will fill the players Mad Dash Meter which is how fast players go when racing.

Being in the lead will grant players the Leader Crown. This item will fill the Mad Dash Meter faster than normal.

Players can also perform what is called a Super Screen Out which is when the player causes all of the other opponents to crash using a Way-Out Wacky Power. Causing this to happen will give the player 2 full Mad Dash Cogs.

Wacky Powers

Wacky Powers are various powers that players can use in order to try and crash the opponents in the race. In order to receive a Wacky Power players need to pick up a Wacky Widget. Each controllable character has 3 different Wacky Powers. When picking up a Wacky Widget one of these three powers are given to the player randomly.

There is a more powerful Wacky Power called the Way-Out Wacky Power which will crash all the opponents for as long as the power lasts. These powers are obtained by collecting a special W Widget icon.

Dick Dastardly's Devious Traps

During a race players will sometimes see Dick Dastardly drive up from behind the racers. He will then lay a trap that if hit by the player will cause them to start a mini-game in order to continue the race without breaking down. There are multiple traps that have the player performing different actions to complete.
