The Windsor is a small sports car that appears only in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. The Windsor appears to be based on the design of both the Alfa Romeo Spider, and the Jaguar E-Type. If it is based mainly on the E-Type, the car seems to be lower and wider than the original Jaguar design, which was an iconic piece of British design during the 1960s. The Spider seems to
be another inspiration for the Windsor, as it keeps the single headlamp design at the front, much like the Spider did. The grill on the vehicle appears to be more like that of the E-Type, but the side profile is an Alfa Romeo design.
The Windsor is a fairly difficult to find car, but it mainly seems to appear in the city of Las Venturas. It's also used during a mission where you reclaim
Madd Dogg's mansion from a drug dealer for the Varrios Los Aztecas, called Big Poppa. The name Windsor sounds highly British, which seems to suggest that much of the design is from the E-Type Jaguar.
Performance
Considering the shape and size of the Windsor, its performance is extremely unusual. The engine in the Windsor sounds very powerful, almost like a V8 (Alfa Spiders had a four cylinder engine), and the car is capable of reaching surprisingly high speeds. However, these speeds are also the Windsor's greatest downfall - its handling is terrible. For such a small and petite
car, it has very heavy steering, which means it is very easy to lose control of, and wind up in an uncontrollable tailspin.
