Nothing
If you think about it, Gothic sort of invented the modern action RPG. One could argue that Ultima IX came first, but whatever. It doesn't matter. My point is that Gothic 1 was a big deal despite its lack of popularity outside of Germany and it's a very early example of a type of game that has come to define RPGs. Yet here we are some 10 years later and now Gothic 4: ArCanIa is the worst one. It's the worst one. It's worse than Oblivion, it's worse than Kingdoms of Amalur, it's worse than Two Worlds... it's worse than Ultima IX because at least that game is silly.
Playing aRcaNia is like if you had a box, and then you put nothing into the box, and then you closed the box, and then you went, "Hmm i wonder whats in that box" and then you open the box and you're like, "Wow, it was nothing." This experiment is called Arcania's Box
If I had to explain my time with the game I'd say i pressed buttons a lot. I guess that's most games but usually they try to disguise that fact. As I was playing the computer monitor reflected light to my eyeballs in specific ways which made it look like a guy walking very slowly through boring bullshit.
