Just got this about a week after launch, first Ac game for me, Hope you don't mind a new player

Yea we are learning new things as we go. It is been a great experience so far.

For a few seconds there I thought that this game requires a 360 gig install.

@avn111: avn you caught me at my worst haha, grr not going back to sniper ever again. Been practicing with laser blade and pile driver for awhile with jozzy last night, I'm gonna be the tank buster of the team!

Cool video avn! You had some pretty good wall jumping skills jumping between buildings, should really practise that. I usually use the Reverse legs so I normally don't really need it. If I can give you a tip I would say switch to scan-mode a little more to keep your energy up, and use your recon drones so you can see your enemies behind walls.

Had fun practising with you last night! Learned a ton about the heavier weapons and general maneuverability. I don't feel comfortable with the tank yet but I want to get into it more because it seems like those are really strong at the moment. Lots and lots to learn in this game, I love it!

By the way, sorry if I am a little incoherent sometimes, english is not my native language.

Okay so i did a recap on one of the videos. If you do past the battlefield limit you blow up. There is no invisible walls or ceiling...you just blow up. lol

@P00zombie: Thanks for the duels! Still have no clue how to use the heavier mechs but I'll keep experimenting. At least it's confirmed that duel shotguns up close are very deadly :) Until the nerf at least...

Apparently all the buy-able parts are available after reaching clan level 50.. but there are still some really good parts that could be unlocked in story missions. Since we don't really need to level the clan anymore, why don't we spend some points to do some conquer games?

Just kidding. By the way, those territory missions give way more Team Points than I thought. Me and Nico did one at a pretty low difficulty (I think 5 stars) and we got 5000 team points. Not bad for 4 minutes of blowing up turrets and helicopters. I am not sure if I have time to play tonight, had a 4am meeting this morning, and tomorrow too.... Should really hit the sack early tonight.

Just started playing and joined up. Man so much interface, and all the stats and stuff on the parts are pretty confusing.

Are there any good tutorials out there or are people more just learning as they go along?

I'm no expert but have done plenty of reading and experimenting, I could tell you about somethings when we meet ingame. Sry I'm too lazy to write it all down xD

Wow, the team is really filling up and you guys have been working on the levels - 80 already!

Just did a couple of quick order missions. I am at Mission 70 now and some are getting a little tricky, with 2 AC's where one is a fast and one is sniping you. Got to use some actual tactics on those :) Looking forward to blowing more stuff up tonight, hope to see some of you online.

Have any room for a straggler from another team? I tried joining a group of friends from another forum, but most of them already lost interest in the game so I've been eyeing this thread for a while hoping to join.

Workin on a new AC, trying to focus on sentry guns and missile spam. Guessing it'll be useful for defense missions if we're ever under siege. Tests against an AI AC are pretty promising, I was able to basically stunlock it with dual pistols while it was surrounded by missile sentries :V Don't know how well it'll work on actual pilots though.

@airpi: umm practicing with computer is not a good idea.. in pvp people dash around alot more lol, speaking from experience as a pile driver user xD

@Nicolove88: Yeahhh I know :V I was really just getting a feel for how the AC moves and the weapons work, I hadn't used any sentry guns yet

Also, playing around with designs some more; Flash rockets, energy sapping jammers, HEAT Pile and shotgun are a deadly combination

This team is an excellent team. It's nice to come into the game with a level 70 team and just get all the cool parts right away.
 
So we're around being cool and all, but who wants to start taking over territories? I'm still not even fully sure how the conquest system works, but I know that I want to take other peoples things~
 
Also, what time do people normally get on? I've been  on 10est lately, but this weekend I'm trying to be on basically all day. A time to meet up and get some big movements going would be awesome!

First AC game I've picked up, looking forward to seeing some of you around, but it's going to take me time to learn how to play this thing.

So we finally have a full team of 20!!!

I'm still sitting in the corner of my mech bay looking out of the window like a billy-no-mates over in the UK team lol. Guess there just isn't many (read that as any) UK players that use giantbomb.com

After seeing the EU thread, I "fixed" our emblem. Hopefully that's okay with everybody.

New emblem is awesome! Now we just need to conquer some territory so other teams can see it.

On that note, I've mostly been taking invasion missions in the Marine Sector or the Waterfront District or Whatever It Is Properly Called, if anyone wants to jump in on that and try to wear down some territory there. Although, honestly at this point we might just want to wait until the reset coming up.

I know a couple of the more hardcore top teams pulled all-nighters the last time the server was supposed to reset to try and regain as much territory as possible. Regardless, I'd be down to try and reclaim our territory on Wednesday if we can get a group together.

Maybe by then I'll also be done trying to min-max my Lampourdes for a new build I've been playing around with.
