Awesome stuff. It's nice to see the Future Crew guys finally getting the Alan Wake bird off vaporware island. I always believed it would happen, but there were people who were still unbelievers even when the E3 announcement was made. Remedy FTW.
" Lol at 0:53 he takes a train cart to the face and he is hardly fazed by it. Kind of detrimental to the whole "average Joe caught up in a nightmare vibe" they've got going on when the protagonist is as strong as a terminator. "
I can't believe how freaking smooth the game looks. The graphics looks phenomenal and they somehow made it look silky smooth, well from all the gameplay I've seen of it so far. Even with all the lighting effects it's still great looking.
I can tell this game will have some awesome twist and I love how Remedy is being so secretive about the story.
Ordered the Collector's Edition, I do Think this game Will dissappoint Me. Not that I'm that hyped for it, but I Think the gameplay hasnt Evolved much since Max Payne. Still, I Hope to be proven wrong.
Did he just get hit by a car flying through the air in this trailer and only grunt from the impact? If the game takes a more "gamey" approach like that, I'm going to be much less inclined to give it a try. Still, I'll wait for more hands-on impressions from trusted sources before I make any final decision.
I wonder what's after this? I haven't heard much on Microsoft Exclusives other than a Halo game here or there & this. That said, I'll probably look at getting an S-Rank in Alan Wake.
Yeah it's funny, both consoles getting thriller-type story driven games in the same year. I actually think Alan Wake started development first though, it's been a long time in the making. They've been polishing since the summer, according to the game's website forums. That's a damn lot of polishing!
Ever since i heard they took out the sandbox elements out of the game i lost interest and the waiting for so long killed it for me the final straw was no pc verison dont own a console never will not one game will make me buy one sorry microsoft big fail.I hope Remedy gets a new publisher down the road its to bad ah well theres better games comming out anyway.
Looks tight, Im a big fan of well done scripted events ( Bioshock anyone? ) and they look to be doing these well. Certainly can't call this a rush job, I wouldnt be surprised to see people losing some cash if this actually does ship.
why'd they drop this type of trailer months ago, they should have now, hypes been dyin. im still stoked though
Edit: Lol he got hit by a big ass mining cart and it just made him turn his head. I hope thats part of some special sequence and not actual game physics.
The game will be cool I am sure, I still think heavy rain will be superior. The problem I see here is I get a strong "the secret garden" impression from the story.
" Man, i still remember first hearing about this game. I can't believe it's been so long. It better be damn good! "
Yep. But I still can't wait to play it personally. I still have as much interest in it now as I did back then, so now that the finish line is in sight I am getting excited for it again. If it tanks though, I'll be very disapointed.
The more I see, the less excited I am. I don't know what it is about this game, whether it's the long development time or the vast difference in structure from what we heard way back at the beginning (*before* the 360 was released, if you can believe it), I'm just not feeling it. Back then, the images they released looked fantastic, but that's been overshadowed by other recent releases. I'm interested, but I'll need to wait and read some reviews after release before I'm willing to drop any money on it.
