Watch Hideki Kamiya Talkin' Bayonetta

Japanese developers have embraced the utility of the Internet with varying degrees of speed, and in a relative sense, I have to say the former Capcom / Clover Studio people who went on to form PlatinumGames are on the bleeding edge of reaching out to their audience over this wonderful network of tubes we have here. They've got a serious, in-depth blog going with lots of behind-the-scenes looks at the development of games like MadWorld, Infinite Space, and Bayonetta.

This is pretty awesome news, since I just saw that "screenshot" I immediately recognized the guy who did write the whole article. I mean Brad. :P

When you have a female character taking up the main role, that's simply a great thing, especially talking about Bayonetta. She's so feminine, attractive, yet dangerous and very well designed with personality.

Bayonetta is truly an eye-catching character, and I look forward to looking at her throughout the action. I can't wait to play with Bayonetta!

Overall, this game looks better than any other Devil May Cry game, much better, I'd say.

This video would have been way better without the douche sitting next to Hideki. I wanted to screen punch him in the teeth the entire time.

This game looks like DMC on crack with a hot female lead, so that means I'll love it.

I hope this game is good.  I got bored with Devil May Cry 4 when you changed to Dante.

She is kind of over-sexy but I think that's the point. She is supposed to look like some fetish porn star. I just hope it's not just all style and no content.

A polygonal ass won't make me pay $60 for this game.  It would be better to waste it at titty bars instead.

I hope the game is good but like most of these Japanese action games, it might be frustratingly difficult to get past some areas.

That was fascinating.  I was riveted to the screen during the entire video.  It was a real treat to have Hideki Kamiya detail the process of making a trailer and designing a character.  There were some nice reveals in there, too.  I am getting more excited by this game the more I see it. 

I don't know why some people are saying she's ugly. Bayonetta is a "Meganekko" or "Glasses Girl", which is its own fetish.

He talks about his game as if it's an exact science...it just seems like overkill to me. I'm really not into games like this so I guess his explanation wasn't really intended for me, but I really don't care about all this hidden stuff in the trailer...as long as it works in the game I'm fine, you don't need to explain things to me as if you're publishing a dissertation! Your game can look great and have all this hidden depth to it, but if it isn't fun then I don't care, so I guess I'll just have to wait until a demo or something gets released.
